As of right now many governments across the globe are pushing for identity verification. While politicians assure it is to protect the children, privacy experts are seeing the policies for what it really is: digital surveillance.

I know this sounds boring, but imagine if you had to show your government ID in order to continue shitposting on Tumblr. Imagine writing something critical of your government and only being able to post it after having verified your identity.

That doesn't sound right, now does it?

Even if you think it's justified to lose anonymity in order to ensure child safety (you shouldn't, it doesn't) there is also the major risk of governments effectively creating honeypots for criminals.

Like hackers are gonna want to hack those services and gain access to all your life's data.

Basically, Identity verification is a terrible idea and should not be implemented. Since Tumblr surpresses posts that contain external links and I want as many people to see this stuff and call their representatives, I'll just ask you to search for these things:

I know this isn’t necessarily vamp or smut related but in this age of growing censorship I think it’s important that people stop only having their works on discord servers or social media pages. A simple html site / blog to share your stuff is

- Safe from social media companies changing their terms of service (looking at you tumblr)

- Safe from algorithms deciding what you get to see or share

- It’s a great way to browse the internet without being tracked by like 300 advertising companies.

One of the things I've done today is sign up for theatre class, I've always been a theatre kid when I was younger but throughout my adolescence that changed because of my anxiety.

The only reason for this is that I've been busy in real life and I'm going through quite some mental health issues at the moment. Which you might have noticed in the lack of posts as of recently. Which arguably isn't an excuse but here we go:

As much as this is a vampire smut blog, which I don't treat as my personal blog, I can't remain silent about this genocide that is unfolding in occupied Palestine.

I stand with Palestine and the Palestinian people.

In the past month the fascist Israeli government has killed 10000+ Palestinians, of which 4000 were children.

Some might argue that it's complicated, but there is nothing complicated about the situation.

On one side you have people who have been oppressed for over 75 years, half of which are children.

On the other side you have one of the largest military forces on earth backed with billions by the largest military force on earth, which for the record is an imperialist country.

Israel is an apartheid settler's state, waging a genocide on the people of Palestine, it's as simple as that.

It takes a lot of mental gymnastics to get around those facts.

This all does not mean that I condone what Hamas has done, the killing of innocents is always something to condemn. Which is exactly why the west needs to stop helping Israel kill thousands of innocents for the sake of imperialism.

As an antifascist who opposes apartheid, genocide, imperialism, racism and antisemitism something needs to be clear:

Standing with Palestine is not antisemitism, criticizing Israel is not antisemitism. Equating the opposition to zionism with antisemitism is antisemitism in itself.

Don't let anyone tell you anything different.
