Hey all; I normally don’t do posts like this but I feel it’s super important. If you haven’t heard yet, congress is at it with KOSA; or the Kids Online Safety Act.
It’s being fronted as a way to protect children from adult content. However, when you look closer it is completely obvious that this is utter censorship of all topics deemed “harmful material” by those in the government, and this could be anything.
This will affect EVERYTHING; not just tumblr and porn. X, Reddit, Discord, forums, Wikipedia and much more. You will possibly have to put in your ID or even do a face scan to confirm yourself.
This is not only such an invasion of privacy; it’s also a huge infringement against our rights to free speech. This will attack anything and everything. This is control and surveillance not protection.
