#noisegate

So if you watched the show you will know that sometimes there is a weird noise over a scene. I personally associated it with a analog stopwatch but I saw a post a while ago that suggested it could be the clacking of Will's bike after he fell (you will know the sound as soon as you here it).

I haven't seen analysis what it could mean so I sat down and watched the show again to look (or better said hear) for clues.

Disclaimer: Since I have the attention span of a labrador I watched the most parts in 1.5x Speed and looked at my phone more than once. So I might have missed some appearances. But the noise is actually quite a good audio cue that my cue riding brain is almost always drawn to. But I can't guarantee that the list is complete. So if you find any scene I have missed a comment or reblog is greatly appreciated

I started with Season 1 but besides from Will falling of the bike and the boys standing on the bike stand I couldn't hear much that sounded like the noise. So I went directly to a season where I was sure that I've heard the noise. I made a spradsheet in which I documented my findings. Since I wanted to see if there is a pattern.

Disclaimer 2: My Timestamps are not 100% on point with the noise being hearable. You might have to go back a few seconds or wait a few seconds to actually hear the sound.

Season 4

My Original Hope was to see a pattern. And after watching the 1st 2 Episodes I was quite certain that these noises and the 7 seconds black screens that are shown quite a few times in the show are some kind of morsecode (clacking = short, 7 sec break = long). I'm pretty sure that isn't the case but mostly because I'm unsure about the 7 sec scenes. So if anyone has a complete list of the 7 sec black screen scenes I would be excited to put them together.

As of now I have no Idea what the sound actually means. There isn't an obvious theme or repetitive pattern that I can see.
