Do you have any tips for studying and doing math, I'm a biotechnology major too and I'm not great at math?
I only did maths during my first year and I struggled a bit too. But my number one advice is:
PRACTICE. PRACTICE. PRACTICE.
Do as much problems as possible, and soon you’ll realise how you can “group” them, because you can solve them in a similar way. Then do one of each group making sure you understand every step. And now you should be able to do the rest of the exercises from this group. Sorry if that sounds confusing, I hope it made sense.
Finally ask your professor for help, when there was topics I didn’t understand I went to office hours, and that made a huge difference. But If can’t go then ask your friends to show you how they solved an exercise.
