Who's Garda?!
XD Oh man. She’s my Pathfinder character - a half-orc sorcerer. I love her so much.
Full Name: Garda DeathgripGender and Sexuality: Female, lesbianPronouns: she/her/hersEthnicity/Species: Human/Orc (half-orc)Birthplace and Birthdate: Northern Solla, born nine months after her mother and father met, dueled to a standstill, and then did something else insteadGuilty Pleasures: Fire spells, never going to bed alone, scaring people, teasing her sisterPhobias: Garda’s only fears are failure, embarrassing herself or her family, and celibacy. What They Would Be Famous For: Saving the world, uniting the orcish clans under one bannerWhat They Would Get Arrested For: Arson, jaywalking, murder, double arson, litteringOC You Ship Them With: None. Although she’d get along well with the orc I play in World of Warcraft.OC Most Likely To Murder Them: Niceda would murder anybody she considered it advantageous to kill, but… actually, I think Garda would put up a damn good fight. It might actually be super close, now that I think about it.Favorite Movie/Book Genre: I feel like Garda would love documentaries about places or animals she’s never seen before, and she’d really dig fantasy movies.Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: Omniscient Council of Vagueness. If one more previously undiscovered relative or mysterious, wise magical benefactor shows up and spews vagaries at her, she’s gonna set them on fire.Talents and/or Powers: Pyromancy, incredibly adept social skills thanks to almost maxed-out Charisma stat, can tie a knot in a cherry stem with her tongue. Why Someone Might Love Them: Garda’s fucking hilarious. She’s snarky and confident and full of good shit to say, she makes friends everywhere she goes, and in a battle she melts people’s faces off with fireballs and acid and some seriously gnarly touch-based spells. Why Someone Might Hate Them: I worry that she’s too talkative or in the spotlight too often, but I love roleplaying her and our DM keeps giving me material to work with. All I do is respond to it. So far I don’t think anybody is bothered by it, but I’m paranoid. How They Change: Garda starts off pretty standoffish and suspicious of others, having grown up among orcs as the daughter of an orcish warlord. She’s used to strife and conflict and having to intimidate people to get her way, but outside of her father’s conquered territory she’s learning to become her own person and make a name for herself far above and beyond anything her father, Gar, or her mother Emmaline, ever could have. She’s growing a lot more confident and gregarious while still being kind of a goofball sometimes. Why You Love Them: Garda might actually be my favorite character to role-play ever. All I do to be her is turn off my verbal filter, so she’s ALWAYS spouting hilarious shit or comebacks at everyone she meets. Every Pathfinder session she has to ask her traditional questions: “is _____ flammable?” and (out of character) “how many people have I slept with since last game?”. Her relationship with her elvish half-sister, Avala, is also incredibly fun to play because Garda serves as both the impetus to get shit done (”I don’t want us to keep going from city to city waiting for something else to happen that we all have to get involved in.”) and an antagonistic troll (”I know elves aren’t that good at showing emotion, Avala, but I get the impression you’re slightly frustrated at me right now”). She’s just really fun and funny and I love all the cool spells I’ve chosen for her as she levels up and her design. I’m definitely gonna get something of her commissioned eventually.
