This one? No.... why do I need to wear a vest? 

For the third time, Zack pulled off his shirt and grumbled, walking back and forth between the bathroom and his closet trying to figure out what to wear.

Grrrr. No.

Once again, he tossed something else that he didn’t like on the bed. Why was this so difficult? Why was he trying so hard? Finally, he said fuck it and pulled on a grey t-shirt with some black jeans and combat boots, tucking in his dog tags. 

Earlier that day, Zack had called Lulu that he would be picking her up closer to five than eight. He had found out about a thing called a ‘shoopuf’and Lulu’s response on the phone to that idea was mild amusement. 

‘Are you sure that’s what you want to do?’ ‘They’re giant elephant things that take your across a river try and tell me that’s not romantic’ ‘Your call, Zack. I wouldn’t know.’ ‘See you at five’ Now he was heading out the door, wishing he’d thought of something a little classier. For some reason he didn’t want to disappoint her. Then again, it could be fun, right? So there he stood, staring at her front door and forgetting entirely how to knock.
