The Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) Taken from my backyard in Providence, RI (Bortle 8 skies). I am using my time without the ability to setup, both because of clouds and equipment, to go over data captures earlier in the year and give them a retouch ot reprocess. Once again, I feel like the starless (image 2) version shines. NGC 6888 is an emission Nebula located around 5000 light years away in the constellation Cygnus. Crescent Nebula - SHO Palette (Simulated) NGC 6888 is an emission nebula found in the constellation Cygnus. I was blessed to get some decent data on this target over last Summer, as well as participate in my first collaboration. This is post here features my data alone processed in a simulated SHO palette. I had done this last year, but I was not happy withchow it came out. With this reprocess, I am a lot happier. . Situation note: I finally replaced my laptop but I am hesitant in taking it out in current winter conditions here in New England. The Crescent Nebula - NGC 6888 While waiting for targets in the Cygnus Loop to rise, I gathered a little data on this target and realized I wanted to get a lot more then the 35min I got the first night.
