the sections under his forearms, behind calves, and in the middle of the throat are versatile and indicate different things...! the throat shows vocalization, and they often hum at a frequency that most cannot hear - au ra and au roe likely can though (so if someone's talking to him and the area is completely flat, it's a very clear sign of Someone Is Annoying Him or Fucked Up)

forearm + calves monitor steam buildup and pressure, but cygnus can also see someone's heart rate simply by pressing his palms where it's easy to feel ones pulse (wrists, neck, etc) and it shows up on his own forearm. it's very handy as a healer, and checking up on the very few co-tanks they trust

he prefers keeping his tail short and small bc he'd rather it not get in the way (even if a big tail is handy for balance + combat reasons) (cygnus is boggled by fornax having Big Fuckass Tail)

cygnus has a lot of ways to deter unwanted physical touches from strangers......... shooting out steam from his various vents, snapping their jaw/ear vents closed if anyone tries to stick a finger in those (i'm sure many would say that those look pokable LOL), overheating the plating on himself in general, etc. he's VERY vocal about his boundaries when it comes to being touched, especially infantalizing remarks regarding his body shape do Not go well with him
