keep or switch: my gym routine
i think ill switch my workout routine around, its been 6 weeks. i have 3 more weeks left in my gym membership so i want to finish strong.
for lower body i used to do:
hip thrusts, rdls, hip extension, lying leg raises
i’ll keep hip thrusts, they’ve always been effective, i’m at 50lb, and i use barbells.
i’ll start doing 60lb on the smith machine, ill ditch the barbell bcus as you get the weight higher its hard to load/unload and i’ve never done smith hip thrust before :’(
rdls i’ll switch to good mornings on the smith machine. i’m tired of not even feeling the burn in my glutes half the times i’ll increase to 60 as well
ill keep hip extensions but i’ll always pair it with the inner thigh workout and i’ll increase to 115lbs and ill always save it for last
ill start doing step ups instead of the lying down leg raises. its really hard for it to feel right doing those. i also wanna do step ups on the smith machine (oop) 3 exercises on the smith machines as a beginner (:
that also means im going there tue wed thu at 6am so i can be the only one there
for cardio weekends the goal is 45 min elliptical straight
