We all gotta start (over) somewhere
Coming home to no internet is good for my productivity. I started organizing my diet stuff (setting my goals and just journaling about myself and this journey to fit I've decided to take). So because of that I did a thing, I wrote about what I ate today:
Today I am pretty proud of myself, even though I may have had a few slip ups here and there. For breakfast I had an eggwhites & sharp cheddar omelette and a cup of milk. This held me over for a good long while which made my mid morning snack easy to almost miss. However, I still remembered and had a cup of delicious tea. Lunch time was here and I had a tuna salad sandwich on my grainy bread. However, 2 fried coconut shrimp + 1 fried chicken liver(don't judge - that shit's delicious) fall into my mouth during lunch. A friend offered and I am weak. But that's okay because shit happens. I hope I'm making up for it with my dinner which is about 2 cups of a broccoli/snowpea/carrot medly + a serving of tilapia, all cooked together with olive oil and seasoned with a blend of spices called "Nature's Spice". And mmm MMM is it delicious. The title of the spice intrigued me while I was searching for spices to flavor my food with. And I'm glad I went with it. It definitely packs a lot of flavor and has no salt! Yay!
In my mind, the veggies and fish would have cooked together flawlessly. However, reality had another plan. First off (despite the oil) one fillet still stuck to the pan, which forced me to break it up. So, when I noticed one was breaking apart, I just whipped the other one apart in with the veggies. I know, not beautiful, but DAMN is it good. And I'm washing it all down with Lipton diet mixed berry green tea. :9
After dinner my roommate came to my room and asked if I wanted to play on the kinect while we wait on the internets. Of course I agreed and suggested Dance Central. Luckily that was what he was thinking as well. We wanted to do some nonstop dancing and see who could last the longest. In the Fitness section of the game there's different timed playlists. At first we did a 17 min one and once finished, wanted more. So, we threw balls to the wall and went with the longest one (on easy, of course) that lasts one hour. He's the one who had to take the break at around track 16 out of 20. I felt super proud of myself after this workout and treated myself (and him, because I'm a nice roomie) to a kefir and frozen fruit smoothie! Mm mm mm. :3 Feeling good and feeling proud. Why did I stop doing this?
