New links in my bio (Pillowfort and an Itchio). Bluesky spanked me last night. 🥲
I have no idea how to use either of these new platforms, so I’m really sorry for the disorganization for a while.

Has anyone heard of this?
I've gotten two different messages over the holidays for ifanfiction.com. Does anyone know what this is or have any dealings with them?
Appreciate your time in advance.

Hello 👋🏻
First of all— I’m putting ALL my drabbles and ficlets onto AO3 if you want to see my content, but are leaving tumblr for any reason. My username is HartwinMakethMan.
So, I heard about Pillowfort. And I think it seems cool. You have to pay money for it, which blows, but it’s an option. I just can’t lose you guys! Some of the most wonderful friends I have are here in the Harringrove/Stucky fandoms, and I want to continue to make and consume content from our amazing creators.
I just saw a cool post, though, about uploading your WHOLE BLOG to Wordpress. It’s free and it’ll at least give you a backup of all your content. I’ll reblog the post— it’s long, but the directions are thorough and if you have NSFW content, or just want to have a copy of your blog on another site that’s not trying to POLICE YOU, I’d recommend looking at it.
I’m staying on tumblr as long as I can. I’ve been here since I was fourteen! If staff doesn’t backtrack and rescind their new rules, Ill probably move to another platform, though. Probably pillowfort.
Let’s see how this shakes out, friends. We’ll keep Harringrove together.

Ivory: The Italian Social Network Betting on Quality
Ivory: The Italian Social Network Betting on Quality
Here’s the thing: Ivory isn’t just another app chasing TikTok’s tail.
It’s the first time in years a homegrown Italian platform has actually tried to change the rules — not just copy them — and people are noticing. Ivory’s whole pitch is simple but kind of wild: what if social media rewarded quality instead of noise?
No, really. It’s built around the idea that thoughtful, well-crafted content should float to the top, not just whatever’s loudest or most viral that hour. There’s an algorithm, of course (because there’s always an algorithm), but it’s not just counting likes. It weights posts for depth, originality, and actual conversation. The people I know who are using it say it feels different, and not in that “this app is empty” way, but because you can actually follow a discussion without it being buried in sponsored garbage five minutes later.
What’s wild is that Ivory is very, very Italian. Down to the onboarding, the design, the trending topics. It’s like walking into a digital piazza: familiar faces, overheard debates, maybe too many opinions about espresso. But here’s where it gets interesting: there’s a built-in reward system for creators who consistently post high-quality stuff. Think recognition, extra features, even actual payouts if you hit the right engagement markers — not for spam, but for substance.
Is it perfect? Obviously not. There’s already talk about how “quality” can be gamed, and the inevitable wave of brands trying to jump in and ruin the vibe (spoiler: they always do). But right now, the Ivory team seems serious about moderation and transparency, and the vibe is more “let’s build something real” than “let’s cash out and vanish.”
If you’re an Italian creator who’s tired of chasing trends on platforms that barely know Italy exists, Ivory might be worth a shot. The early adopter crowd is already there, figuring out how to play the algorithm, and honestly, that’s half the fun. Want to stand out? It’s still early enough to make a mark, but you’ll want to bring your A-game — the crowd is sharp, and people can tell when you’re phoning it in.
For anyone looking to build a following (or just get a running start), it’s worth checking out tools like AcquistaFollower — which, say what you want, can help you break the first wall of visibility if you use them smartly. Just don’t expect Ivory to reward bots and spam the way Instagram sometimes still does. Here, it’s definitely about what you bring to the table.
And maybe that’s the most interesting thing: Ivory is asking what Italian social media could be if we actually valued quality — and, for once, the answer isn’t just another copy-paste of Silicon Valley.
