Okay, so I just noticed that in Finn and NEPTR's final scene in Huntress Wizard's house/classroom…

NEPTR refer to Finn as 'Papi'.

Which is actually VERY notable. 'Papi' is usually what NEPTR calls his other dad, Ice King.

(With the IK himself being the one who came up with that term).

(Maybe 'called' would be more appropriate? It seems like unlike Gunter/Ice Thing, NEPTR doesn't really think of Simon Petrikov as the same person as his dad. Maybe because NEPTR was specifically powered by Ice King's Magic?)

The term NEPTR generally uses for Finn is 'Creator', which he even used earlier in this episode.

(NEPTR's song in 'Hot to the Touch' calls Finn 'Master' and 'Father', and he also called Ice King 'Father' once... but generally Finn is 'Creator' and Ice King is 'Papi')

I wonder if that this an indication that, after many false starts and accidental forgetfulness, Finn is finally actually getting closer to NEPTR and treating him like family. That alongside Huntress Wizard opening up to him, he's also filling up the Jake-shaped hole in his life by being more open to others who love him.
