Notes;because we dont have much on wizard Hunter i kinda winged it, use They/them for Hunter since thats whats been used, reader is gender neutral here, reader might be a wizard themselves , imagine the creature as anything you want it to be since there are many mythical beasts it could be including something from arthurian legend

Hunter Wizard headcanons + small story

So yall probably met while in the woods

He asked you why exactly were you in this particular forest when you mentioned you were there for a special plant that only grew in that specific place

You proposed a deal, if he could help you find it youd help him with anything he asked

At first he stared at you his eyes narrowed before he agreed

walking deep into the woods he led you through many areas until you both came upon a large growing bramble that seemed to attack anyone it perceived as an intruder

Before you could attack it Hunter stopped you taking something out that looked like a flask and poured it upon the brambles

Whatever was in it seemed to calm down the rogue thorns before they parted for you both and some small blooms appeared on the vines

When you questioned Hunter what it was he explained it was just a mixture of what was basically fertilizer made from creatures he previously hunted and water and the brambles took their offering as a way of understanding neither you or he was a threat to it

When you finally reached the plant, a special flower that seemed to resemble the sun with its beautiful petals you thanked Hunter for his help asking what he wanted in return

He told you when the time came hed tell you and he'd find you

Eventually he did and took you on his hunt with him, you guys were tracking a large legendary beast that wasnt exactly easy to find nor capture

It would take a great many weeks but you found the beast Hunter was seeking using your magic to drive it towards the trap

It fell into the trap Hunter had made and with a single arrow it perished.

Hunter placed his forehead to the beasts as if silently thanking the creature for its life

He turned to you a small smile on his face thanking you for your help in capturing the beast before he went on his way with the beast you two had caught
