It's Crystal Clear Why The Bride! Bombed At The Box Office || Looper While not the most detailed analysis of why this movie bombed, this person sounds the most natural so that is what I went with—unfortunately it seems this incredibly promising movie suffered from a number of faux pas, not the least of which is a total lack of compelling reason why each scene drives one to move into the next, another would be forgetting to showcase thoughtful characterization for each person in the room. People are calling this a nepobaby just by sheer lack of narrative drivers for the famous faces who could have easily played the part to embody & mesmerize us. Regrettably this big budget production didn't have adequate backstory for them to dazzle us, you would think that the two men involved with this project—who are actual relatives of the director—would have said something to her: Why didn't Jake or Sarsgaard inform Maggie the writing was so weak?? And though it makes sense why she went with the Frankenstein motif, I think there is an over-saturation at this point—I would definitely have made some creative pivots away from it given how many box office remakes have hit the big screen in the last 5-6yrs. The final nail on the coffin is the prevalence of violence during a time of actual unrelenting chaos, you're almost asking ppl to compare which is more terrifying.. and no surprise ppl are dismissing this as a snooze fest. But from a spiritual perspective, "Good job, do not let ppl escape from the reality of their impending doom." Then again, I guess everything happens for a reason, we'll just have to wait for it to become apparent.

When Roger Sterling’s Words Stop Working for Him | stuck on a story felt existential dread for Roger & the agency when all this happened, it was like his life was really meaningless—no one ever seemed to matter to him, but he did land those jokes every time so yeah he was a ready source of comic relief in this incredible drama. I'm not sure how they managed to suss out all these great performances from every cast member but amazing how consistent they were—you know I never stopped to consider the plight of the nepo baby..careful what you wish for I guess. The Bible mentions how wealth has a way of making one poor, not sure if it has literal implications but it sure looks like Roger is depleted inside—even his comment to Don's question about what do women want is telling. For a guy who has had his life served up on a silver platter, it seems odd how delighted he was to go party with Don—then there are times we get insight into just how cynical he was when he signals how bored/drained he was by everyone's needs, to him ppl always assume he should willingly part with some of his inheritance for every little thing they do for him.
