negative cat is a mini-boss in chapter 1 of needle travels. it is a dream ghost possessin' a cat-shaped box. it speaks in a melancholic and sometimes stutterin' manner, similar to napstablook. Like all dream ghosts, it is agender, meanin' negative cat is also agender. it is found near sunshine Town, blocking access to the junk zone, sleepin' until the duo wakes it. it seems annoyed with kalligo and hambo for resting after cleanin' up the Junk Zone. the battle begins it uses a rather shabby box with ears and whiskers made of cardboard and tape, also haphazardly attached, with cracks resemblin' a face, and red pupils. another more rectangular box with cracks like its base body, it also has a tail (actually its arm) holdin' a red glass, the box's body is brown with red ribbons; its original body is black. the glass it holds is red. Its appearance is based on Mimikyu and scraps from dandy's world. After the battle against it (dependin' on the player's actions), it will simply lament bein' a nuisance and hope its relationship with the duo can be repaired. After rockwell's defeat, it will appear in the junk zone, busy cleanin' up the junkyard. If talk to, it will say it regrets what happened and begins to reflect. In later chapters, it can be seen in its home within Funky Town. It will simply talk 'bout its passion for music and how it influenced its cleaning. In the anomalous route, negative cat will not appear, bein' one of the npcs and enemies not to appear. It also will not appear in funky town. Its stats are 380 HP, 5 attack, and 0 defence.
