Medication side effects surely sucks 😭 my asthma meds are making my blood glucose high. Even if i dont eat, it stays really elevated. And being asian and growing up having rice as a staple in every meal is not easy at all but I tried my best and its still not good enough. Seeing my pulmonologist on Thursday hoping my asthma meds would be a lesser dose to keep my glucose levels and blood pressure down. For now I have to prick my finger 4 times a day to check how the insulin is working. If you know me well enough youd know how im so scared of needles. Growing up i was always sick. There was a time I was hospitalized and they kept transferring the IV all over, even my legs as my veins kept closing. Even to this day, im always traumatized when they do blood work, they just poked me 3 times last week and kept missing my vein 😭 It is so stressful. I dragged Jeremy to see my Endocrinologist. I told him I finally have to relent and do insulin shots and he wont have a choice but to do it to me coz i would never ever do it myself. Hydrate so you don’t die-drate. Learned a valuable lesson today... take things easy, don’t work myself to death, and that I should (probably, but most likely won’t) drink more water. I wasn’t feeling well this morning when I woke up, went to work, and somehow made it a few hours before feeling so fuzzy that I was going to puke... I ended up passing out and getting carted of to a hospital. Ugh... needles are the devil. I’m over it all, lab work , injections , shots , now I have to sit for 2 hours over the next few weeks for Iron infusion. When do it end.
