I don't post much as word texts, but I need to vent. Can't do it on Facebook, too many family members. Both sides of my family are equally fucked up. On my dad's side, he and his sister aren't talking. My aunt and uncle adopted my cousin years ago. Well they hadn't told her anything about her birth family. Things my dad and I knew. We told her BC no one said this was a fucking secret. So we blabbed. My aunt was so pissed off at my father, she and my uncle didn't come to my wedding. My father refuses to talk with her until he gets an apology from her. She refuses to talk with him until he apologize. On top of her having fucking cancer too. So she thinks we (as in my husband, my brother, and his wife) all hate her too. On my mother's side, we are playing death roulette. My mother and her sister are fighting over my grandma's house. My grandma thought the house was only in my mother's name. She wanted it in her name before she died. This year she found out that my aunt had gotten my grandfather to sign over his half of the house to her before he died almost five years ago. My grandfather was disabled and had undiagnosed mental illness. He refused to go see anyone about it. So we have no prove now that he didn't know what he was doing. On top of this, my aunt is actually crazy. Hypochondria, and she's had gotten medical professionals to do unneeded medical procedures. She's also got an online gambling addiction. So basically we are waiting to see who dies first. If my grandma does, my mom will have to pay my aunt for half of what the house is worth. If my aunt dies, my mom will have the house free and clear. Thankfully no one is trying to kick my grandma out of her house. Or I'd be more pissed off about all this. To make it worse, when I met most of my husband's family last year, I was so tense. Not from meeting them, but waiting for drama to happen or the yelling and screaming to start. My husband had to pull me aside and calm me down by saying that normal families do not act like this. That families are supposed to be loving and have each other's backs. They welcomed me into their family, and loved me. I got hugs with no fear of a knife in the back. My family is seriously fucked up. I can't deal with them most of the time, so I tend to avoid them as much as possible. My chest hurts from the anxiety I get from having to deal with any of this. I may need to go speak with a therapist.
