          AS MUCH AS UMA WAS ENDLESSLY FOND  of  her  parlor ,   it  could  truly  get  exhausting  to  do  most  of  the  chores  by  herself .   beyond  printing  stencils   &   keeping  her  materials  sterile ,   there  were  things  as  simple  as  sweeping  the  floor   &   scrubbing  down  the  leather  couches  in  the  waiting  space  that  felt  tedious   &   sometimes  even  overwhelming  given  all  of  the  other  work  she  did ;   this  making  mello  a  life  saver  of  sorts .   it  wasn’t  like  uma  didn’t  compensate  mihael  for  the  help ,   but  having  an  excuse  to  fuck  around  with  her  best  friend  while  being  moderately  productive  was  a  chance  she  couldn’t  pass  up .   hearing  the  speakers  chime  in  notification  that  someone  had  marched  their  way  through  the  front  door ,   broad  smile  broke  her  lips  before  uma  even  confirmed  that  it  was  who  she  hoped   &   expected  it  to  be .   it  took  a  certain  kind  of  person  to  open  her  up ,   just  as  she  had  found  was  the  case  for  him   /   that  was  why ,   uma  supposed ,   tolerance   &   amiability  towards  one  another  came  so  easy  nowadays .     ❝    s’at  you ,   mel ?   ❜     she  called ,   carefully  setting  down  a  few  of  the  needles  she’d  been  unpacking   &   putting  away .   new  stock  had  just  been  delivered ,   this  meaning  there  was  plenty  of  help  to  be  needed .    turning  on  her  heel ,   pearly  whites  shone  from  beneath  a  grin  that  somehow  widened  even  further  upon  spotting  her  newfound  company .    //   @nectarlips​ ,    mihael keehl

          COIL OF INTRICATE SILVER HILT  was  held  tightly  in  uma’s  grip ,   the  grip  feeling . . .   familiar ,   in  such  a  disorienting  manner .   the  woman  had  never  held  a  sword  in  her  life ,   not  even  a  weak  metal  replica  such  as  the  one  she  held  now .   it  was  relatively  heavy ,   well  crafted   &   something  definitely  made  for  more  thorough  costumes  as  opposed  to  something  simply  put  together  for  halloween ;   not  likely  to  do  any  harm  as  the  blade  was  dull   &   would  sooner  bend  than  pierce .   the  weight  between  her  fingers  felt  powerful  in  a  way  that  didn’t  speak  of  this  lifetime ,   something  that  only  worsened  her  sense  of . . .   homesickness ,   like  she  had  places  to  be  that  weren’t  in  her  obsessively  maintained  calendar .   mimic  sword  was  gestured  towards  mihael ,   grin  carving  her  lips  in  spite  of  her  internal  conflict  surrounding  the  weapon .     ❝   what’s  the  french  thing  they  say  in  fencing ?   en  garde ?   ❜     tip  of  the  blade  didn’t  waver ,   held  steadily   even  as  lips  pursed  in  amusement .     ❝   s’not  really  a . . .   fencing  sword ,   but  you  get  the  idea .   ❜     //   @nectarlips​ ,   mihael .
