^^ Saturdays hike at Morrow Mountain. We'd never seen a forest after a prescribed burn (theirs was in January).
vv yesterday's hike at Crowder's Mountain- it was slammed on the main trails, but we went off the beaten path (but still on a trail!). It's nice to be able to follow the trails less traveled and avoid people as much as we can. vv

We decided fairly last minute to take the girls up to Hanging Rock State Park. This is a great park with a lot to do and a trail for any level. We took a leisurely hike on the Hanging Rock Trail. This is probably the most hiked trail in the park as it leaves from close to the visitor's center and rewards you at the top with the view from the park's namesake.
