NorCal State Parks #4/104: Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park Located 6 miles west of Chico, this park offers great access to the Sacramento River. Spend the day fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, inner tubing, or water-skiing. There is no overnight camping. Dogs are allowed. The riparian habitat is home to salmon, steelhead, shad, otters, turtles, and herons. Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park is 349 acres and was established in 1979.
