I saw trickling of this fandom from a mutual that I went to college with, paid it no mind, and went on my merry little way until this past summer. When my good friend uselessravenclaw would not shut up about this show where there was a hot lesbian vampire. Since I trust his judgment, I decided after putting off for a few weeks that I’d look into one afternoon. 

What I found did not disappoint. I inhaled the first season as if I was dying of thirst in the middle of the ocean. I fell in love with a fandom for the first time in ages. I found something to get excited about at a time when I needed it most. 

Carmilla cast, crew, writers: you are responsible for me finding a crutch when I lost my dad. You made it possible for this wonderful fandom to grow and thus made it possible for me to make some truly amazing friends. While I wish queerbeerz was a little closer, I still love that I’m making some amazing connections because of a little web show that “Made the weird submit.” batwingsandblackcats, it’s awesome finding another CT Creampuff on here. You’re one cool person. And everyone else that I’ve come across, that’s followed me, that I get notifications from: You rock and I love that we have a family on here even if we don't speak. 

I love that I’m being creative and writing and looking at the world in a different view. 

This show honestly saved a huge part of myself and I am so indebted to them. 

natvanlis, you truly are a wonderful human being. Thank you. 

kbearluna, don't stop being you are. I know a lot of kids are lucky to have you as a role model. I’ve been in the trenches with Trans youth and believe me you are one hell of a role model for them. PS: You have one adorable cat.
