the 6 days or so i’ve felt really out of step; i feel like there’s something ominous swarming around me. i keep having deja vu with this extreme urgency– that  this moment has happened before, that you made the wrong choice but this time it can be different. each time it lines up like a shot, like the most beautiful shot in a favorite movie (one that you haven’t seen in a while, where it hits you electric all over again; the vast digital owl, claws closing in on kurt vonnegut pretty boy theodore; the blood on the white flowers that shake in the breeze; light floating through david oyelowo’s eyelashes, fierce and delicate and glowing; the neat angles of a swingset from above, slicing through white toronto snow). and it’s not alarming at first, seeing something line up feels right, until i start to think i recognize it and that must mean something and this is the only chance oh god do something!
