I would like to borrow the #WeNeedDiverseBooks hashtag and start a #WeNeedDiverseSongs hashtag. In the 7 minute drive from the grocery store to my house yesterday I heard three songs. And Every Single One had a line about "baby blue eyes". Only 16% of the US population have blue eyes, (My source here is wikipedia. Deal with it.) So why are ALL the songs about blue eyes?? I demand more diversity in songs!
