Curious as to others' opinions--
I wish we did something like Ireland (though it's hella expensive) where we have one nationals that's open to everyone and one that's only for people in North America. I realize it's super fun to travel and personally, I'd love to go to All Ireland's one day but if you look at the top 5s for most of the comps at NANs, a great majority of them, including the champion aren't even from North America but from Ireland or Australia.. I recognize how hard everyone works but it just kinda sucks when you can only go to your own nationals (usually because of the cost of attending others) and most of the top placers are world champs from other countries.. Just my opinion, open to hear other people's thoughts.
