Well, it’s not perfect but I TRIED for my dear friend @katyspersonal who wanted to see pre-transformed Nadalia, Bride of Ash from Dark Souls 2! I would like to try designing her again in the future!
Happy Birthday (one day late) Katy <33
I know every year is rough for you, girl — but you’re still one of the strongest people I’ve ever known and deserve to at least have your birthday honored okay? Love you, and enjoy your gift 🖤🫂

How do you think Raime 's first meeting with Nadalia went? Did he connect her at all to Nashandra?
Thank you for the ask, anon! Any excuse to yap about Raime (my beloved) will be taken >:)
So as we're told in game, Raime came to Brume Tower in search of greater strength after his exile from Drangleic and defeat at the hands of Velstadt. After being forced to leave his home, I think Raime will have travelled to many different places to train and get stronger, emphasized by the fact the description of his baneful bird ring says "he reconsidered his way of life and was born again as a stalwart warrior". He was actively seeking more strength, both so that he could return back to the Kingdom he loved and so he would not feel as weak as his defeat had made him feel.
Throughout his travels he learns of a dark force, a black fog that surrounds the abandoned tower of the Old Iron King, and those who have ventured to the tower seeking to plunder its vast amounts of iron have never returned. Raime figures that if he's able to expunge the black fog from the tower- we know he had the ability to do so- and perhaps take the power for himself, he'll be able to return home and set things right.
So he ventures to the tower, with the intent of slaying whatever lies within.
As he descends the tower, he becomes privy to the whispers within, and the overhanging feelings of loneliness and sorrow- Nadalia was the fragment of Manus' solitude, after all. She more than likely attempts to entice him into her service as she has done to many before, but Raime remains stalwart in his goal and steels himself to face a dangerous foe.
Though the lower he descends into the tower's depths the deeper these emotions stir, and Raime feels himself.. resonating with them. They more than likely speak as Raime continues his path downward, until he reaches lowermost floor, where the voices tell him that they await.
Stepping into the dome that would later become his boss arena, and down the ashen stairs, Raime comes face with not a threat, but the corpse of a forsaken, heartbroken woman. The whispers introduce themselves then as Nadalia.
She tells Raime how she sought a King, but when she arrived, she found that the king was gone and his kingdom left in shambles. How in her despair she split her soul apart and clung to his old relics to soothe the unending loneliness in her heart- a loneliness she could sense that Raime understood all too well. He'd lost his own King, the man who he saw as a father. He'd failed in his own task, just as Nadalia had failed in hers... And though this darkness was the same he'd felt around Nashandra, Raime could tell that unlike her, Nadalia was no threat. Just a broken woman in need of a blade to protect her. Someone to understand her.
So rather then expunge the black fog, as he'd journeyed there to do, Raime chose to embrace it and become Nadalia's protector.
Abandoned as he had been by a regal father, Nadalia opened her arms (not literally of course) and offered him the embrace of a mother, an embrace that would soothe them both.
They need not be so lonely, as long as they had one another.
uh oh, more insane theories from the local Lucatiel Simp
Y'all know the drill by now.
So relating to my last post, the second theory I have concerning the Darklurker is that it is the last fragment of Manus' being, similar to the queens within the game.
First, an explanation of the queens within ds2 in case you're one of those poor fucks who follows me but doesn't play ds2:
Within Dark Souls, one of the most important entities lorewise is Manus, the Father of the Abyss. His soul, contrary to those of the other Lords, was dark, borne from the shadows that linger on the edge of a fire's light (in my opinion. He did possess the Dark Soul, but it's not really specified what made it different, apart from its name and apparent power).
However, Manus wasn't manus when he found it. He was the Furtive Pygmy, and actually split the Dark Soul into fragments prior to his first death, which led to the creation of humankind.
Later on, people from Oolacile, a land of Golden Sorcery that (ironically) manipulated light, dug his corpse up and at the behest of the Darkstalker Kaathe (one of the Abyssal serpents who manipulate the world from shadow) performed terrible and cruel experiments upon it.
These experiments, coupled with the theft of the Pygmy's amulet, drove its lingering soul mad, causing the birth of Manus and the complete devastation of Oolacile, and the creation of the place that would become known as the Abyss.
The main character of Dark Souls 1, the Chosen Undead, eventually destroys Manus, and that's the end. Or so we thought.
As it turns out, parts of manus persisted within the Abyss, emerging thousands of years later as four (or five, if you think Mytha is one) women, each borne from one of his Negative emotions. Alsanna from his Fears, Elana from his Wrath, Nashandra from his Want, and while Nadalia isn't specified, a lot of people think she is his Loneliness.
Now, something you may have noticed is that none of these are particularly good things, which makes sense. The birth of Manus was not a happy event, and I think that most goodness was driven from his Soul upon his birth.
Most.
My main theory for the Darklurker (took long enough, eh?) is that it is the virtues of Manus. Those better aspects of him that were nearly lost during the transformation into the progenitor of the boundless dark within men. The Darklurker's lack of a voice at all, its ability to wield magic, and its pseudo-angelic appearance reminds me of a fallen angel, which is notably different from the appearance of the Abyssal Daughters. They, for the most part, resemble darker beings such as Demons, Grim Reapers, or horribly twisted human forms. The otherwordly appearance of the Darklurker makes me feel like its nature is much less grounded, and more abstract. Hence, the virtues of Manus.
anyway sorry for the rambling, I just realized i have a semi-captive audience. Love y'all moots.
hi hi, i still have all these asks! havent forgotte, just busy, and now switching to CSP for my sketches :)
12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot
It's hard to pick one but rn I am fond of @aurii-pigmentum 's Léon:
And @panicbones 's Bella :)
Evil kids and grouchy wizards are two soft spots for me what can I say...
33. Your shyest OC?
Nadalia or Richter. Former would be the type unable to insert herself into a conversation and is body-shy too. Richter is very asocial but not self aware enough to see it as shyness. Already drew Richter so here's Nad
