what do you think about the uta-oek theory?
Itās interesting. Thereās no denying that thereās been a lot of imagery surrounding Uta suggesting that heās an OEG recently, but we also know that the original OEK is petrified beneath the earth at the moment.
He could be a kagune clone, but could a kagune clone have the power to produce other clones? The argument that Uta must be more than he seems because he possesses such a powerful ability as cloning doesnāt really hold water for me because Donato can do it too.
However, the Roma reveal suggests to me there could be more to Uta too, establishing that the Clowns are even playing their tricks on each other - except his ideology really doesnāt seem to line up with the old OEK. The old OEK was involved deeply in the affairs of this world, to the extent of starting a rebellion; but Uta really seems to be genuine in his Clownish ways and his abstract desires in stimulating change and creating tragedy from an outsiderās hedonistic perspective. He *did* take part in Tsuneyoshiās murder, but if he wanted the downfall of the Washuu, why didnāt he join Aogiri? I can understand why he would support Furuta as another half-ghoul Washuu, but again, he really doesnāt seem all too invested in anything other than fun and his friends. Itās possible he may have changed a lot since the old days, butā¦idk. My answer would probably be ānoā if it werenāt for all that side art with Uta covering a single eye. After the blood on Arimaās glasses hinted that he was OEK we ought to take symbols like that seriously. But on the other hand, is there really time for a reveal like that? The story definitely seems to be reaching its conclusion, unless Uta turns out to be the final boss.
So I would say thereās a great chance of Uta being an OEG, but the OEK feels much more shaky. If he IS the Naagaraj, then the story of his change is going to be very interesting. If anyone has any convincing arguments for or against Utaās OEKness, please feel free to add them in a reblog, since this is a matter Iām really not sure about š¤
