Whatâs your characterâs favorite destination?
ioannes is a HUGE BABY and just wants to go HOME. he used to have glorious aspirations of visiting high rock et al. probably in fancy robes and as some deified mage-scholar and probably (definitely) fantasized about how amazing it would be and how he would blow everyone out of the water because Obviously He Is Perfect. which is completely, utterly laughable to him now. the kind of laughing where you start crying, probably.
What was their favorite journey?
he actually had never been outside the isles before leaving them, so no big journeys before coming to skyrim to speak of. back home he was actually supremely uninterested in traveling at all, even to other parts of alinor. even down the street. he liked to think it was because he would rather be studying up and ~accomplishing so much more than all the plebs~ but it was actually more a combination of obsessional devotion to even pointless busywork and deep discomfort whenever he was forced to leave familiar spaces.
after graduating the college he had an adjunct position at a smaller school in another city and moving there was like, the most dramatic thing, he made it such a big deal, he hated leaving all his familiar places behind because he was so routine-driven. he doesnât really understand that he was ever like that but if he did it would be really strange to him now because he canât go home but he hates skyrim so he just wants to move around all the time. he knows if he let himself just stay in the house he would do it for weeks or months on end and probably drown in skooma AGAIN and he doesnât want that, running errands in other cities is something he ostensibly hates but heâd lose his mind without it.
Whatâs the worst place theyâve ever been to?
ITâS SKYRIM, SURPRISE. he hates it so much. he gets vocally mad whenever he happens to see something integral to skyrim that isnât horrible. FUCK THIS FIELD! FUCK AURORAS. FUCK MOUNTAINS.
The worst journey theyâve ever undertaken?
3 guesses and the first 2 donât count. he was sick as hell and in terrible pain so even if the destination wasnât cold and wind-blasted it would have been an awful trip. admittedly this condition may also have colored his perception of the country somewhat, in addition to the first city he set foot in being windhelm. a bastion of love and tolerance.
Did they take on that journey willingly? If not, why did they go through with it?
nooooooooo, he literally had no other option, there was no possibility that he would be allowed to stay in the isles, he didnât even ask if there was another choice.
Whatâs their favorite/least favorite mode of transport?
horses are pretty up there, ioannes has the number one worldâs boniest ass and riding is really unpleasant for the bony-assed and uncoordinated after a few hours because then it becomes an amazing tour through the colors your butt can turn.
he also used to just hate horses in general because once as a young child his mother took him with her on a meeting that happened to be at some stables and a horse ate his hair off. his five-year-old dignity was shattered.
