About what Ryuu said last night and Dazai-san.

It’s a lot to process. I guess—

I knew that Ryuu was badly hurt by Dazai-san. Anyone can see that, it’s obvious. But I guess, hearing about it and seeing a little sliver of it in action is very very different.

But. It’s Dazai-san. And nothing is ever easy with him.

Dazai-san said that it was wrong of me to assume that he was a good person. But—honestly, ever since I first learned that he was a former Port Mafia member and learned what he did to Ryuu a long time ago— I just thought he was a better person.

It’s as Ryuu said “the past is fundamentally unrelated to who you are now.” I don’t want to see Dazai-san hang onto the past like a lifeline, I know I do that and it sucks. I’m still trying to work on that.

I guess what I’m trying to say is—Dazai-san is not a good person, but is trying to be a better person, like Ryuu, like me. And watching him act like that doesn’t make me angry anymore... just.
