MALLEUS! I'm glad I found you! I wanted to give you an invitation to my birthday! I'd absolutely love for you to come! I have to work during the day so we'd be hanging out in the evening. I was thinking of having cake, junk food, and watching movies! Would you like to join me? And of course you can bring Lillia, Silver, and Sebek if they want to come too.

As usual, the crown prince of the Valley of Thorns was wandering around aimlessly, enjoying the peace and quietness he gained from this intentional solitude.
There was no nagging from Lilia, no worried and overly worried Silver and no loud Sebek bickering with poor Silver.
All he needed was space, freedom and time to himself to clear his head from whatever it was that stressed him out or irritated him, find inner peace and reach a fully relaxed, almost enlightened state.
It was comforting, even though it never lasted for too long.
But for now his gaze was lingering on whatever gargoyles he could spot on his goalless stroll, taking in their features, admiring the fine craftmansship of the person who created the ornaments and pondering about how much it must have seen throughout the time since it has been erected.
That was until he could hear someone call out for him.
Malleus stilled and turned to see you approach him with clear excitement and glee on your face.
His sharp eyes could spot you holding something in your hand, an envelope if he wasn't wrong.
Usually he wouldn't have cared too much about the matters of humans.
That was if they bored him.
You on the other hand were one of the very few and rare specimen to pique his interest, managed to amuse and surprise him repeatedly.
Indeed, the fae enjoyed your presence, deeming it enriching and educating.
"Good day, child of man. No need to be in such a hurry, I have no intentions on fleeing from you upon sight."
If it would have been any of his self-proclaimed bodyguards or Lilia, Malleus would have vanished into thin air within the blink of an eye butโฆ you posed no danger, weren't any threat and most importantly, you treated him as an equal, despite the inequality of your social standings.
This was again proven to him by the fact that you seemed to have actively seeked him out to hand-deliver to him an invitation to join you in birthday activities.
Now, birthdays weren't as special to fae as they were to humans but Malleus did also know that the human lifespan was nothing but mere a fragment of the lifespan to his kind.
Considering that he wouldn't need to put an immediate end to his peaceful strolling, Malleus would have plenty of time to come up with a present worthy of the friendship of yours which Malleus so dearly treasured.
He graciously received the letter of invitation, glanced at it from all sides before pocketing it, making sure he wouldn't lose it.
"I shall join you for the festivities later and wish you a very happy birthday. May this day be smiled upon and blessed by the Holy Seven and bring you nothing but joy."
