Vasco lets his hands be guided onto the pianoās ivory keys, Calebās palms warm against his skin as he spreads Vascoās fingers out, covering them with his own.
The tune is much gentler than anything Vasco has heard played at a tavern, reflected in the soft touch of Calebās hand against his, and though every key Vasco presses feels uncertain and clumsy compared to the graceful skill he heard Caleb play with before, he enjoys it. Perhaps enjoys the closeness, more than anything else.
Caleb has one arm wrapped snuggly around his back to reach Vascoās other hand, chin resting on top of Vascoās shoulder as he helps him mimick the melody Caleb was playing earlier. It canāt compare, not when Vasco is burdening him as much as he is, but he likes this just as much.

Acantha has historically been very much like Aloth himself in a fight - far more comfortable keeping her distance, letting the people who wear real armor get up close and personal with their opponents.Ā They can both be plenty effective from afar. Ā But lately, itās as though there is a cloud of Old Vailian mosquitos in her head, buzzing between her ears and swimming around in her blood, making her itch.Ā The immediacy of a knife-edged situation drowns them out, a little.Ā
Itās always worse right after one of her little episodes with Berath, and whichever other gods feel like dropping in to be condescending that day.Ā Ā

The character I love that everyone else hates: vivienne, easily. donāt get me wrong there are very valid reasons to dislike her but the amount of vitriol that she gets? is way disproportionate and i think we all know why lmao

Cooking and baking and trying out new recipes (say I, having just popped a batch of banana almond flour muffins in the oven, the third time now Iāve made these...need to try new things too but it is nice when I try something out and then it quickly becomes a go-to)
Taking a day off work to...work! The ladies at church do a fundraiser every year making chocolate covered peanut butter eggs, some with names iced on them that people preorder to give as Easter gifts. Now that I live close enough, I enjoy helping with it when I can - which sometimes works out with a day off school anyway, but when it doesnāt, I usually take a day or two off to help with the project. We have a lot of fun working together. Plus, my momās in charge of it and I like getting to help her out. So today I mixed eggs, dipped eggs in chocolate, and packaged the finished eggs; last night I helped write on the icing names. Tomorrow I will head back to school and start looking at my lesson plans to see if I can squeeze in another day off next week to help again...
The adorable coffee-colored kittens (well, theyāre almost full grown now, I suppose, but still so small and cute) that live across the street from my parents but frequent their front porch for snacks (and one of them for attention; I gave her a snack last night after several minutes of petting, and she started eating it but then got very concerned when I started to go inside and leave her to eat it. She was not done with the attention!)
Lesson plans that work out. Been trying some new strategies this term and having pretty good results so far, which happily validates the extra work thatās gone into developing it...
Seeing prompt fills in the @pillarspromptsweekly notifications - or getting to beta a fic for a writer - and realizing that even when Iām not getting much writing done myself whether because of writerās block or being RL busy, I still helped get those stories to exist! :-D

Vi: Hm. Supporting what remains of Eothasā followers in theDyrwood, probably? I think sheās also proud, after growing up with such anintricate and far-flung family support network, which was great but also getssmothering at times (especially in her betrothal to Anselm), of stepping out ofher comfort zone and successfully (well, more or less, Awakenings aside)completing her pilgrimage, all on her own.y

Lenneth: In her Watcher worldstate, without Vi helping her navigate it like in Soul & Shield, she freaksout a little. Sheās not much of a contemplative or spiritual sort so all this havingof visions is way outside her comfort zone. Part of why she likes Aloth so muchis finding out that he has experience with what sheās going through (thatcounts in S&S as well). And part of why she copes better with her Awakeningin S&S is that Glynisā life in that world state was not nearly as traumaticas Lennethās Watcher world state, when Glynis would have lived through theInquisitionā¦(Violetās Inquisitor, Ianthina, was far better constituted tonavigate that and make peace with her role in it. The same role would havetaken a much higher toll on Glynis, and thus on Lennethā¦)
