Give us some headcanons about Hinny’s first 10 years of marriage!
Oooh!
Harry feels it's too mature to call her his wife, yet gets so much excitement about it
Every new phase is something Ginny deliberately discusses at length with Harry because she knows he didn't have good examples growing up. Talking about kids takes a long time even if they agree they want to have them
There are cheating rumours in the newspaper but neither of them really ever believe it
Harry absolutely gets a kick out of seeing her fly for the Harpies with Potter printed on her back
Ginny doesn't talk about some things she had to endure with the Carrows until after they're married. Partially because she's still processing the torture
He's the only in-law who ends up calling Molly mum (and yes she cried when he did)
When they get pregnant the first time, Harry has a lot of worries about being a father but Ginny talks it through with him tirelessly and makes sure her dad sits him down for proper dad advice
During her Harpies years, his fellow male aurors often watch her walk by, sigh and feel sorry for themselves for not being the lucky bloke who gets to be with her. This both annoys him and makes him happy because she's always there to see him and he gets some satisfaction out of getting to walk her out and kiss her goodbye
Ginny tries so hard not to become her mum in the first ten years but she sees value in it later on
They get married fairly young because Harry knows what he wants and Ginny of course says yes

Since tomorrow is Harry’s birthday… Do you have any head-cannons for what Harry’s birthdays look like with Ginny?
We know Ginny likes to provide a fair bit of snogging on his birthday, I like to think they kept that up (and then some)
I think Harry would prefer a quiet day in over doing a lot of things. He doesn't want to make a fuss (but it happens anyway because the Weasleys are involved)
I think in the younger years they have a party at the Weasleys and then once they have kids he'd probably want to spend it with his family because it's so so important to them and on days like that he remembers how young his parents were when they died so he thinks about how lucky he is to see his kids play and fight and all the other stuff.
And every every birthday has to be with Ginny. This cannot be negotiated. Give this man his girlfriend/wife please it's not a party without her, and she does know how to bring the party. She is the light of his life and he wants to cherish her on his birthday too because that's what makes him happy!
For the oneshot type Christmas prompt: The Potter house with excited Children at Christmas. Like the ages between 3-10.
Leaving Ginny to man the stove for a moment, Harry popped his head into the living room to see if his children were doing okay. The screams told him that at the very least they were still alive and reasonably well.
“And then we are going to blast them with the wand-gun 5000!” James yelled, running around the couch in what they had proclaimed was the greatest battle of all time.
Lily excitedly trotted after her brother, her pig tails swishing side to side. “Pew pew pew!”
“And and!” James said excitedly, his eyes alight. “Then we take the pistol—!”
He picked up one of Lily’s barbie and Harry pre-emptively winced
“No!” Lily objected. “That’s Barbie, leave her alone!”
She reached for it but James triumphantly held it above his head, giving the small one no chance of reaching it.
“It’s not a Barbie now!” James said. “Lily, it’s a gun, see?”
Lily was having none of it. Her cute little face turned murderous. She aimed for James’ other arm and bared her teeth, opening wide.
“Do not dare to bite your brother again, Lily,” Ginny threatened as she looked over her shoulder. “Santa will not hesitate to put you on next year’s naughty list.”
Lily’s mouth snapped shut, an inch from her brother’s arm. “But daaaaaad!”
“James, give her Barbie back. Find something else.”
His son shot him a look of disappointment. Being the eldest, he often felt that he was unfairly treated for having to hand things over to his younger siblings. “Can I get your wand then?”
“Absolutely not,” Harry confirmed.
Lily had found the tray of ‘healthy’ appetisers they had shown no interest in until now and lifted a baby carrot. She walked up to her dad, big brown eyes wide. “Dada? Can you transfigy this into a pistol? We need to shoot the evil wizard.”
“Alright then” he said, taking his wand out and changing it into a wooden pistol.
Lily went to show James and together they ran around the couch screaming bloody murder. Albus was at the corner by the desk, running back and forth to the couch for pillows and blankets.
The doorbell rang and Harry walked through the living room—narrowly avoiding Lily running straight into his knee cap—and opened the door to Andromeda and Teddy.
“Hi Teddy.”
“Hi Harry! Bye grandma!” And with that, he ran into the living room to join the Potter children.
Andromeda smiled at him. “Lively.”
“Ah, I’d be worried if they were quiet,” Harry said with a shrug.
She chuckled. “I get that.” She handed the bag over. “This is his overnight bag. Toothbrush, pyjamas…”
“Sure,” Harry said, taking it from her. It wasn’t exactly the first time Teddy slept over. “Are you sure you don’t want to join?”
“That’s alright,” Andromeda said with a heavy sigh. “It’s not my favourite tradition and we may never see eye to eye but I think it’s important that Narcissa and I try.”
Harry smiled in understanding; he made the occasional courtesy visit to the Dursleys. “It’s all we can do.”
“I’ll pick him up before you head to the Burrow in the morning,” Andromeda said.
“Splendid. I think we leave at 9.30” He could hear Tedy had joined. “He may be tired. James has informed me this is the grandest, greatest battle of all time.”
“Right in your living room?” Andromeda quipped.
“Indeed,” Harry confirmed. “Isn’t it nice when you don’t need to leave the house for such a formidable battle?”
Andromeda laughed. “It is. Well, have fun and good luck. Happy Christmas.”
“Happy Christmas,” Harry returned, before he closed the door.
He placed Teddy’s bag by the stairs and then walked through the living room—Teddy was standing on top of the couch shielding Lily from some imaginary evil but she had ducked away and crawled around the couch without him noticing, approaching Al’s quickly-forming pillow fort—and walked back into the kitchen.
“Do you notice how it gets slightly quieter when they are with four?” Ginny remarking, though quiet was still a massive understatement. She lifted the spoon with sauce. “Taste.”
Harry shrugged. “I think he’s the only one James takes guidance from.” He took the spoon she offered and tasted it. “Slightly more pepper, otherwise perfect.”
She took the spoon back and looked for the pepper in the cabinet from. “They just like to conspire together.”
It was true. Harry looked out in the living room together. Al and Lily had taken cover in the fort and James and Teddy were protecting it.
“How many kids are biting other people?” Ginny asked.
“None.” He turned back around to her. “I couldn’t see Lily but if she bites Al we will know.”
“Tell them ten minutes to dinner,” Ginny said. “So they can wrap their magnificent battle up timely.
“That’d be nice,” Harry said with a snort.
When he announced it to his children, James said it was not a problem, because they were going to blow up the enemy with a dynamite wand.
He checked on the soup and already began ladling it into bowls. Ginny turned the stove off to let the rest simmer slowly while they had their soup. Harry pressed a kiss to her lips when she passed and she smiled fondly at him, squeezing his arm gently in greeting before getting the kids their drinks.
“Food is ready,” Ginny announced into the living room before she walked to the table.
Harry counted. One, two, three. “Where’s Lily?”
“In the fort,” Al said.
It was unlike Lily not to walk into the kitchen with her brothers because being left behind was the worst thing that could happen to her. Harry stood back up and approached the pillow fort built around the desk and pushed the sheet aside that functioned as a door. He had to smile when he saw her sleeping soundly on a pile of pillows.
He crawled in with some effort and caressed her cheek. “My Lily-flower. Do you want to come eat or sleep a little longer?”
She opened one eye. “Eat,” she said.
“I thought so,” he told her with a smile. He pulled her out of the fort and picked her up, carrying her into the kitchen.
Ginny smiled at them. “There is the little princess.”
Lily was still a bit snoozy so Harry kept her on his lap, her cheek against his chest.
He offered her a bit of soup with his spoon, which she took.
“You spoil her,” Ginny whispered.
Harry looked straight at his wife. “Have you seen her big brown begging eyes?” he asked, staring into a near-identical pair. It’s what made it so hard.
“They’re closed,” Ginny argued with a smile.
After two more spoonfuls he was sure that Lily was pretty awake but just pretending not to be.
“I think she’s pretty sleepy,” Harry announced loudly. “I’ll put her in bed. She can skip the rest of the meal.”
Lily shot up immediately, her chin tilting quickly and assuredly. “I’m awake!”
Harry gasped dramatically. “Oh, my! You are!”
“Go sit at the table so dad can finish his soup,” Ginny said.
Lily hopped off his lap and walked around the table. Teddy helped her up on her own chair.
After dinner, it was time for Lily to go to bed, but she refused, because she didn’t want to miss all the fun.
“Al’s going to bed right after you,” Ginny supplied.
Al looked up. “Mum, no!”
“It is very late and Santa can’t come bring gifts until you’re in bed,” she told them.
Teddy jumped up. “I can read you a bedtime story, Lily!” He took her hand and that was good enough for her.
Together they went up the stairs and Harry followed behind. Teddy walked back down with him after and rejoined James in a game.
“Come on, Al,” Ginny said.
Al sighed and looked over at his fort. “Are you going to break the fort?”
“No,” she said gently. “It’s better if dad can’t see his paperwork.” She winked at Harry. “You can play in it tomorrow.”
With another child up to bed, Harry turned to the other two. “You still need to set up Teddy’s bed. Why don’t you already start on that? If you promise not to blow anything up, you can stay up in your room for another hour and then after that you go to bed.”
They nodded and rushed off. Teddy took his bag and James started a whole explanation about how they were going to set up the bed as they climbed the stairs. It was the first time they were sharing a room and James was extremely excited about it.
Harry cleaned up further in the kitchen and then poured both of them a glass of wine. He set them down on the coffee table and sat down on the couch.
Ginny joined him a moment later and sank down on the couch beside him. She winced and reached behind her, revealing a wooden pistol. “What’s this?”
“A transfiggied baby carrot,” Harry informed her, intentionally saying it how Lily did.
Ginny tossed it onto the table and cuddled into Harry’s side. “She’s going to stop saying words cutely soon and I’m already sad about it.”
“I know.” He kissed the top of her head. “I told James and Teddy they get another hour and then they should go to sleep.”
“Like that’s going to work,” Ginny said.
Harry shrugged. “As long as they pretend to sleep, that’s fine by me.”
“They need to be up on time tomorrow,” Ginny said.
“And there shall be gifts—they’ll get out of bed,” Harry argued. “And if James wants to take an afternoon nap, it’s going to be de delightfully quiet.” Only Al would be awake then, and he was by far their calmest and quietest kid and it would be good to get some quality time in with him.
“One can dream,” Ginny agreed. She faced him and brushed a hand through the side of his hair. “Was just thinking that we’ll be married for ten years this coming year, isn’t that insane?”
Harry nodded with a smile. “Best decade of my life.”
“The bar was on the floor,” Ginny said, sounding mildly offended but her expression brightened. “I am so lucky I get to do all of this with you. I love this.”
“Me too,” Harry agreed, kissing her softly. “I still love you as much as on our wedding day and I’m in awe of your—“
Ginny shut him up with a kiss. “Stop it—you’re going to make me cry.”
“Sorry.” He kissed her. “Do you know Al figured out Santa isn’t real?”
“What?” Ginny said. “How?”
Harry grinned at her. “Because mummy’s only allowed to sit on daddy’s lap and well, in that song mum sits on Santa’s lap so logically that means Santa is dad.”
Ginny buried her face against his shoulder as she laughed. “He’s too smart for his own good.”
“He did make a very solemn promise to keep this a secret,” Harry informed her.
“Of course he did,” Ginny said fondly. “Who does he get that from?”
“His uncle Percy,” Harry joked.
“Shut up,” Ginny said with a chuckle. “He’s such a good kid.”
“Yes.” He loved all his children dearly, but James and Lily both had big personalities and Albus was much quieter and collected. He worried about Al, if he’d speak up if he needed to, but he could only be there for his son. “I think we should add some lights to his fort. I am not planning to look at any papers on that desk before the New Year.”
Ginny looked over her shoulder at it. “You do that and I’ll sip some wine, huh?” Her eyes twinkled. “I’ll watch you from here.”
Any chance we can get a sneak peek of Cross my heart (and hope to die) on this very long Monday?
Yes of course!
Whatever broke them up must have been major, considering everything else he had heard.
“That does sound like me,” he told her.
“So a few days later I asked you out through text.” She gestured towards her phone in her pocket. “I can show you the texts if you’d like.”

I was not sure how much I would like a Hinny story where Ginny is a pirate.
But I keep thing about Not Your Captain. I really loved the first chapter!
Is there any way you you give us a snippet of Not Your Captain? Please!!!!
Thank you, this made my day! Because you're so kind I've just uploaded chapter 2 and as a treat, here is a snippet for chapter 3!
She watched the crew members walk off the ship with the goods they would trade. “Could they unload any slower?” she hissed.
Seamus looked up from his ledger and bit back a smile. “I can manage here; you can go. I know you’re impatient.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She walked away from him and shouted at one of the crew members that was holding up the others on the stairs because he was too busy wiping the sweat off his forehead.
Can we please get a sneak peek of 7saab? I am in love with this story!
Of course!
When she looked out of the carriage at church, Ginny saw Harry walk inside, looking rather upset. She got out of the carriage before the rest.
“What happened?” she asked Charlie.
He straightened his jacket. “Mr Corner came by—we assumed for well wishes—and they had some words.”
“Which words?”
Charlie looked over at Ron uneasily.
“Which words?”
Ron kissed Rose’s head and walked over to Ginny. “Mr Corner told Potter that you would never be faithful to him.”
“That is not too bad.” She sighed in relief. “Mr Corner is an idiot.”
“There was more.” Ron shook his head. “Corner then said that you were soulmates and you were simply fickle and young. You will see sense soon.”
Ginny breathed out. “Great.”
“Lord Potter may have threatened him.”
She winced.
“And then… Mr Corner made a comment about your body, and Lord Potter tried to punch him,” Ron continued. “I stopped him, told him it was bad luck for his wedding.”
For the Ship Ask game... Hinny
4. Who initiates affection? Why does the other not initiate affection as much?
8. What do they love most about the other? Why?
9. What do they dislike most about the other? Why?
4. Who initiates affection? Why does the other not initiate affection as much?
They both do but sometimes Ginny gets really focused, especially when she's writing articles and Harry just hovers arounds like 'plse pay attention to me' but doesn't want to disturb her. She takes pity on him as soon as she finished the paragraph.
8. What do they love most about the other? Why?
i think their similarities is what makes them go so well together. They're both brave and want to do the right thing and do not back away from a challenge and I think that's what makes it easy for them, because they're aligned in that way.
Harry loves Ginny's optimistic attitude and that she doesn't give up. Ginny loves his selflessness and determination to do the right thing (oh and she hates that too at times)
9. What do they dislike most about the other? Why?
Ginny gets frustrated when Harry is upset and just mopes instead of talking about it. It bothers her that he doesn't spontaneously bring it up, because she knows he's just suffering in silence
Harry claims to not dislike anything about her, but every time he finds another hair in his food (she was nowhere near the food, and YET) he just sighs
