World Mental Health Day - Oct. 10th.
My message to you:
It’s important to take care of your mental health and not just today, you need to take care of it everyday. Remember you are not alone in the world with your mental issues, you are loved and strong. Maybe you feel you are alone, and nobody understand you but there are a lot of people who can understand how you feel, and there are a lot of people with the same issues as you. Don’t hesitate. If you notice that something is wrong with your life, you don’t feel so well, feel free to ask for help. You won’t be less stronger because you ask for help, it’s not a shame, it can’t be a stigma.
- Are you afraid of psychiatrist or psychologist? They’ll never hurt you, they are here because they want to help you, every therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker and nurse are here to help you. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, don’t be afraid If you go to a professional, be proud of yourself because you did this step for yourself. :)
- Are you afraid what will friends/family members/ co-workers say? Don’t be afraid of that. Some poeple will look at you like if you are “crazy” because you asked for help, but YOU AREN’T! You are brave! And if you want you can talk with them and with a professional. You can talk about your feelings, I am sure they’ll understand you. They’re your family, and they love you. You can say these thoughts to your friends, I am sure they’ll help you too :)
If you asked for help and you get the help what you need: I am proud of you!
If you haven’t asked for help yet, but you want to: I am proud of you!
If you ate that cake: I am proud of you!
If you woke up after a hard night and you got out of bed: I am proud of you!
I am proud every single of you!
No matter what, you can’t give up, you need to keep fighting and when you are the end of your path you’ll realize why did you fight so hard and so long for. You are such a human being like me or like someone else, you deserve respect and love for your fighting,and your trying. Don’t be afraid of falling into pieces, you will create a better life. Don’t be afraid of taking risks or to take a mistake. We are all human we all do mistakes and we all afraid of something. Your mental health is important, and I love you. I am believe in you, and I think you’ll get through this soon or later!
I am just saying this because I am fighting for my mental health too, I have a great psychiarist who help me to get better. I am almost 3 years (5th of Nov 2018) on therapy (psychotherapy and cognitive therapy), and I chose that I will walk on another path and not that where I used to be.
I am phobic (social phobia, urophobia)
I am hypochondriac
I have traumatic memories from childhood
I have lack of self-confidence
But I also have:
Faith in myself
Success through therapy
Take care of yourself. You are loved. We need you. World Needs You. You are irreplaceable. Don’t give up. Please be safe wherever you are in the world.
