Class of Heroes - Take A Bite
The skeleton put on a smile of mock innocence as she placed an apple on Mylene's plate and a tomato on Ivan's.
"I figured you two could use the nutrition. Especially you, Mylene." She remarked, taking satisfaction in seeing the princess squirm a bit. She knew the terrible memories of their pasts would come crawling in and they'd be in a fetal position in no time, all while she seemed like the sane one to most naive onlookers.
The hunchback frowned as he put a hand on his girlfriend's shoulder. It was no fun seeing her relive the time she was nearly killed by a poisoned apple. Nor was it great for him to remember being pelted by vegetables and tortured by malicious townsfolk at the Festival of Fools.
"She doesn't eat meat or drink dairy, Lila. Now could you please leave us alone?"
Lila just giggled and sauntered off. Her work was done, anyway. He then grabbed Mylene's apple and took a bite out of it.
"Ivan, what are you doing?!"
He smiled in reassurance.
"Don't worry. Just making sure it wasn't poisoned."
"By putting your own life on the line?!"
"Of course, you know I'd do that for you."
She blushed before shaking her head and biting the tomato.
"Oh Ivan, that's very sweet, but it wouldn't make me happy to see you suffering from any sort of ailment that you chose to inflict on yourself."
"I suppose tomatoes can't be poisoned?"
