I wanna make a design for Mycene, like she’s a water and mushroom nymph. I imagine Perseus met her when he pulled mushrooms off the ground and created a spring, in which she herself sprung out and he took it as a sign to build his city there.

"Homer says “those who held Mycenae” — and its name is derived either from Mycenaeus, the son of Spartōn, brother of Phoroneus; or from the pommel (mushroom) of the sword which Perseus carried, which when it fell from him at Hermes’ command someone picked up and founded the city there; or from Io’s lowing when she was a cow in that place"-Aelius Herodianus, De prosodia catholica
heheheh calling a pommel a mushroom thats funny

Argus, hero and monster, my boy
Pseudo-Apollodorus, Bibliotheca 2. 4 ff (trans. Aldrich) (Greek mythographer C2nd A.D.) :
"The son of Ekbasos (Ecbasus) [son of Argos, son of Zeus and Niobe,] was Agenor, and his son was Argos surnamed Panoptes. This man had eyes all over his body. He was extremely powerful, and killed the bull that raged through Arkadia (Arcadia) whose hide he used as a cloak. He also ambushed and slew and Satyros who was hurting the Arkadians by stealing their herds. It is also said that he waited until Ekhidna (Echidna) fell asleep, and then killed her. She was a daughter of Tartaros and Ge (Gaea, Earth), who would kidnap travellers passing by. Argos also avenged the murder of Apis by slaying the guilty pair, Thelxion and Telkhis (Telchis)”
i love argus (giant with a bunch of eyes) so much. he fills a rare role of both champion hero of a god (hera) and also being a big monster that gets killed in someone elses tales (that bitch Hermes) if someone has any extra fun info on him where maybe he lives i would like that also hes the son of mycene (sometimes) who could be interpreted as a related family member of Perseus if hes the guy who midwifed her possibly (not all giants are evil)
