Like all teenagers in the 90s, Rachel Joy Scott went to shopping malls. This mall, Southwest Plaza in Littleton, would have been her mall. It is located just on the opposite side of Clement Park from Columbine HS. To be clear, I didn't know Rachel so I can't say with 100% certainty that she ever set foot in here. However the odds of her not coming here are next to impossible. We know from books that her family wrote about her that she did go to malls. Given that it was a major shopping destination less than ten minutes from her house, well, you do the math. As you can see from the photos, this mall is now succumbing to the same decline of most indoor malls in this country, it's a ghost town. In Rachel's time however, it would have been jam packed. It would have looked slightly different too, as it has been remodeled twice since 1999. I can just imagine her walking these corridors.

These are handouts thst were given to me, and every other student in my school the day after Columbine, and a few days later. They were given to us to take home to our parents. I was a freshman in high-school when Columbine occurred, in a school only a few miles away. Columbine, despite being in Littleton, was actually part of the Jefferson County school district. My school was part of Litttleton Public Schools (confusing). This was basically in my backyard. In any case, these documents capture the raw, local aftermath of the event. The confusion, and the chaos. We didn't really know what exactly was going on in those earliest of days, and if this was part of a larger coordinated attack. Nothing like this had happened before, and roumers were running rampant. They capture the point of origin for what is now modern school security practice, nation wide. I was recently cleaning out some boxes my parents saved from my high-school days, and found these. Due to their historical significance, I have since donated them to the Colorado History Museum.

My personal hero, Rachel Joy Scott, can count me as one among millions who's ❤️ she has touched. Though I never met her in life, we were roughly the same age and both grew up in different parts of what was (at that time) Littleton. This is a Youtube short, a collage of photos that have something to do with her,places she frequented in life, and some just make me think of her.

​I have had the privilege of traveling a great deal in my time. One thing I've learned I have a knack for is knowing when I'm in a place of intense spiritual energy. Some places just feel different in a good way. I'm not a medium or a psychic, I don't see things, I just feel the peaceful and loving energy of it. There are many such places of this concentration in the world. My top three are the Oracle of Delphi in Central Greece, Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the Australian Outback, and last but definitely not least, the grave site of Rachel Joy Scott in Colorado.

There is no shortage of people in this world who would love nothing more than to line up around your block, each waiting for their turn to critique you, tell you what you should or shouldn't belive, and to mold you in their image, not God's. Christ gave us all free will, and the ability to decern truth from deception. Don't waste your life following some fool's rhetoric. Find Christ in your own heart. The reason so many turn their backs on Jesus has nothing to do with Jesus. It has everything to do with 2000 years of man's dogma about Jesus. This is not Christianity. Christianity isn't even Christianity. Christianity is man putting a lable on something that by its very nature can't be labled, because it is not of this world. But we did it anyway, because doing so gives us the ability to wield it in control and manipulation of others, so that the weak will serve the strong.
