They were childhood friends that distanced themselves because they each moved to a different city to pursue their dreams. They reconnect when they both end up in the same university, and it was actually a bit of a surprise for both.

Before his first run on the ice, Jon was cautioned about this one skater that was rather arrogant and steely, who frightened more than one player and was really protective of his time slot and that was really handsome… Jon realized through the description some gave that they had a crush on the guy but were trying to hide it.

Jon was curious but he was not interested in having any issue with anyone so he was ready to just steer away from that skater, especially because he had recently broken up with his boyfriend in a messy way, so he did not want any drama.

Imagine his surprise when he enters the rink and his teammates not so subtly point out to a lithe and elegant figure performing the most beautiful spins. But is when said figure stops that Jon unwittingly goes:

“Dami?!”

His outburst was loud enough that had everyone go silent and the skater stumbling, turning around in shock and ready to call out whoever said that because who dares call him so familiarly?? Only to pause abruptly and have an outburst of his own:

“Hayseed??”

Everyone is actually speechless because suddenly Jon is running and leaping into the rink and Damian is skating to meet him halfway? And they’re now witnessing them hugging each other and spinning? And they’re giggling? Jon’s teammates are confused but they are quick to move because they are nosy ok?

Is not lost on them that when Damian notices their approach, he goes back to a more serious stance and Jon, noticing Damian’s shift, turns around and finally remembers his teammates.

He enthusiastically and proudly presents Damian as his childhood friend. But immediately after that introduction, their respective coaches enter the rink and, to Jon’s surprise and delight, he sees that Damian’s coach is Dami’s oldest brother, Dick. After a brief conversation, Dick not so subtly has Damian ask Jon for his contact before they leave so the hockey team can practice.

I've been so excited about this outfit combo ever since I first designed this shirt. the skirt is by the talented @mayakern in collaboration with the amazing @sergle, and yes, it has (BIG) pockets, and inclusive sizing!
