Being a wanted criminal was never easy. It's harder when the First Order also sets its sights on you. And it's even worse when stormtroopers chased you.

"I just had to take this job!" Althea muttered to herself as her BB unit droid rolled beside her. It chirped in disdain before she argued, "Hey! We needed the credits!"

Hearing shots fired in her direction, she pulled out her lightsaber. That's it. She activated its lavender light, and deflected the blaster shots back, killing the stormtroopers. Then droid and human ran back to their ship.

Locking it up, Althea tried to start it up, but it only sputtered in response.

"Come on! A-113, help me figure out what's wrong! We can't get caught now!"

“I brought you something.” Luke told his nephew, sitting down on a nearby seat. He had taken no other students since his nephew left with his other students following after Ben now Kylo. It wasn’t that he didn’t like teaching, but these were dangerous times. Beside, he had his hands full of a personal quest. He supposed in a way this time was good because he could simply spend it as being a doting uncle like he had been when the boy was a child.

Luke held out a holodisc for Kylo to take. “It took me a while to find, but it’s in remarkably good condition. It’s a holo of your grandmother.” Why not give Kylo this? Since the boy was obsessed with following Vader’s legacy, he could at least have a glimpse of the late matriarch of their family. “Her name was Padme Amidala. Apparently, she was once the elected queen and then senator of Naboo before the Republic fell. I thought you’d like to see her image. You look a lot like her. Her grave is on Naboo too if you ever want to visit. I went there a few times. I always meant to take you when you were older.”

Poe rode his white horse through the snowy forest. He was meant to head to a few towns over, drop off some supplies, and pick up a few for his friends. Remembering back, he could still hear their requests. Rey had needed more iron and steel for her shop. Finn needed some bullet making materials. Faustina... sweet Faustina. His dear little sister. All she wanted was a rose, and for him to return home safely.

That was easier said then done. A bridge collapsed on him, resulting in him to cut the wagon loose to save himself and BB. And now, with several paths out due to heavy snow, he found himself lost.

Wandering through the path, he was surprised to find an iron gate. Looking through the bars, he was even more surprised to find an abandoned castle. At least, it seemed abandoned. At the very least, it was a place he could spend the night.

Riding inside, Poe was amazed to find the stables lit and furnished, yet empty at the same time. Making sure BB was taken care of, Poe ate one of the sandwiches he packed and fell asleep next to his horse. Abandoned or not, Poe wasn't going to poke around in the castle. Something seemed... off about it.

Waking up the next day, Poe was confused to find a blanket over him. Realizing that there were people staying here, Poe decided that he had overstated his welcome and saddled BB up. However, on their way out, something caught his eye.

"Whoa, boy!" He slowed his horse, as he took in the sight. "Roses..."

A garden full of roses was before him, and they somehow were able to survive the winter. So many colors as well. Remembering his sister's request, he dismounted, tied his horse's reigns to a fence post, took the sheers out of the saddlebag, and examined the rose bushes.

"Surely, they won't notice one missing... I can't go home empty handed... not to Tina, empty handed," he encouraged himself.
