Syncing a mp3 player on Linux
My text file noting all of this is lovingly named "Music Sync Adventures".
Per my previous post on the subject:
So Iβm an old fart that still uses an mp3 player that transfers files via USB or SD card, and since changing to Linux, updating that thing has been PAINFUL due to the loss of MediaMonkey. [I need] proper playlist-based file syncing. (That is, you select the playlists to update, and sync both the files and the playlist m3u to the target device, even if the target device uses a different file folder structure from your computer.)

MusicBee vs. Spotify
Are you wondering what the differences are between Spotify and MusicBee? Well, they're very goddamn different.
First off, Spotify is a streaming service, this means that you do not need to download any music to be able to listen to it (excluding local files, which are pretty self-explanatory). On the other hand, MusicBee requires that you download and add all the music yourself! This also means that you get to handle the metadata of the music, so you can fix those pesky "Deluxe Edition"'s, "Deluxe Version"'s (looking at you, XXX) without needing to ask for a miracle. Spotify can be used for free, albeit it has frequent ads every couple of songs and you can't utilize most of its features. It does have a Premium service, which offers a couple benefits such as no ads, downloads, listening parties, amongst other stuff. On the other hand, MusicBee is fully free. As long as you can get a hold of the music, then you don't have to pay a single other penny for it. Fully free! And hell, paired with Soulseek or an account on the private tracker "RED", you won't have to pay a penny to ANYBODY for your music! Aside from your ISP Hope this helps in your decision-making!

I canceled my Spotify subscription and I'm now using MusicBee & my normal phone music app and trying to download like 8 years (bruh how luch money did I give those assholes) of songs and it's a little tedious but also fun

Got my living room computer, which is hooked up to my stereo, set up to be remotely controlled with my phone now, so that's cool.
I think it only works on the local network although I don't really need to be playing music when i'm not here anyway. But it's cool that I don't have to be in my bedroom to change tracks. I remotely access my computer in the living room from my bedroom computer because I don't have a working monitor for that room.
