Murder Drones inspired outfit
I painted the shoes myself a while back, and today was a nice day to wear them so I put this outfit together, i still think itβs missing something though

Hooray.
was rewatching murder drones last night with my girlfriend and it got me thinking about how the Solvers scariest power even as early as episode two is the ability to create convincing facsimiles with her holograms in order to manipulate others, but I had never actually made the connection between that and her impersonating Tessa in the later half of the show...
Cyn why are you like this? Why must you do these things to us?

Tessa trying to find peace in Cyn's weird hell-dimension, unsuccessfully, of course.

Not sure if this is a common thought or not but I think Cyn was a separate entity from the Solver before it took over. I think she was an actual drone girl and once the Solver got a handle on how she acts took over and started acting as her. At first she tried fighting it, but it was too strong and she ended up losing that battle. If she were to end up separate from the Solver again, she would be so relieved. The Solver might keep the mannerisms it learnt, and Cyn would absolutely try to get rid of her mannerisms (since she kinda gave up trying to take control she hasn't grown out of them) to disassociate herself from the Solver.
This has been brewing in my fucked up little brain for months.
Allow me to yap momentarily; I LOVE the way the solver uses holograms.
In its first appearance in episode 2, it presents itself using really shitty holograms, using one to kill some of the worker drones. This baits the audience into thinking the holograms should be easy to spot and the workers are just really stupid. But later it makes an insanely elaborate and detailed hologram of an entire group of investigators (and even the coffee cup one is holding) to kill a single one. Again we see it make a really shitty hologram of Thad to bait Uzi and n into thinking that it's bad at making these holograms and when it actually makes a really convincing one they don't suspect it's a hologram. It shows itself KILLING KHAN, making Uzi immediately think it really happened because it's such a high-quality hologram compared to the horrible Thad one, then again it makes an incredibly convincing N hologram immediately after to steal the railgun.
It's such a good way to subvert the audience's and characters' expectations, making bad holograms to make the really good ones seem less like holograms. Once again this happens at the beginning of episode 7 where it makes a WHOLE CHURCH HOLOGRAM in the scariest scene in the whole show. And then in the finale, Cyn uses the holograms to pretend to be N and to make it look like she's teleporting.
So yeah I love the holograms in the show and I think the people who see them as inconsistent are missing the point and the real genius of it
