Ok, hot take.
I think jessa / ripping royals is just a tad overrated, especially when it’s Tessa coming back post cannon and that’s the catalyst for J’s redemption arc in fanfics/au’s. I just think it takes away from J’s agency, and it makes Tessa into the narrative make J good now. I kinda fell similarly to J ships in general actually.
Now this doesn’t mean that I dislike J ships, I love them actually, but I just think it’s a shame that J’s redemption in these fanfics isn’t about her bettering her self as a person because she wants to be happy, but rather so she can be with Tessa/V.
I don’t know why I felt the need to talk about this, but I did.
