Absolutely the fuck not.

That girl has experienced more in her life than many of us can imagine. She experienced a type abuse on such a uniquely fucked up scale that most of of learned of its existence through learning about the crime she committed to be free of it. She was failed so terribly by so many people that she had to go to the most extreme of cases to be safe, because make no mistake, she would have died if she hadn't. And you know what? Even though she knows her choice to end the violence the only way she could does make her evil, she still carries that guilt with her.

Her abuser was her mother. Really consider that. The person who tortured her and manipulated her and trapped her in the waking nightmare that was her existence for her own selfish gain and sadistic fulfilment, was the person she loved most in the world. She mourns the death of her mother. She feels guilt for the death of her mother even though she shouldn't. She loves her mother, even after all she did to her.

So no, we aren't going to say some fucked up shit like "you're just like your mother" to the person who had to live in hell for years at the hands of her mother. Aside from the fact that it's fucking evil, it's factually incorrect. She there is no evidence she is at all like her mother. She is a woman whose entire life experience has been limited and traumatic. She is a person who came from a horrific past and wants to grow enough to bring love and positivity into her future. And it's hard enough to do that when you're known as the mom killer, let alone when people are levelling your own trauma back to you because they disagree with your divorce or how you handle your media appearances.

In around 2014-2015 I read this amazing fanfiction. I think it was called By Proxy, and the premise was that Blaine’s mother was making him sick on purpose because she had a mental illness called Munchausen by proxy. It was a Klaine fic and it was hosted on fanfiction.net. It was multiple chapters, like two dozen or more.

This fanfic changed the course of my life, no exaggeration. It helped me realize what was happening to me, because it was the same thing that was happening to Blaine. It gave me the courage to tell the police and social services what my family was doing to me, which resulted in me being taken into care. It likely saved my life.

This fic has been taken down and isn’t accessible anymore. I badly want to reread it, to help with processing what I went through, because this fic understood exactly what it was like. If anyone else who read it happened to have a downloaded copy or a wayback machine link, I’d really appreciate it. If the original author happens to see this, would you consider sending me a copy? I want to read this fic so badly I’m willing to pay money for it."

I've checked out and can't find this one. Does anyone know this fic? There is this one that might fit, but @shame-is-a-wasted-emotion says it's not the one. Anyone know this fic? ~Jen
