Oppa, chapter 1 (Jimin)
Title: Oppa Member/Pairing: Jimin x Reader Fanfiction type: Story, multi-chapter Genre: Angst, Drama Chapter: 1 Word count: 888 You were pregnant with Jimin's baby, and the news was out there. For weeks, fans and tabloid sites alike had been gathering evidence every time you were spotted with him out in public. One day, your stomach looked a little big because of your tight shirt. The next, your loose-fitting top was a way to make it look like you weren't pregnant, to distract people from the gossip altogether. Except your stomach had nothing to do with your fashion choices lately. You hadn't even known you were pregnant then, so of course, you couldn't have tried to hide it. On top of speculations about whether or not you were pregnant, there were also rumors about your relationship with Jimin. You guys had been out in public together for quite some time now—probably a few months—but you both neither confirmed nor denied any of the questions people had for you. Countless websites shared their opinions on the possible relationship, and of course, people assumed you were dating. There was no solid evidence, as you made sure to stay away from PDA. You wouldn't even do so much as hold hands or stand too close to one another. It was your way of being able to spend time together in public without actually having to confess to being in a relationship. The way you looked at it, people would speculate no matter what. And if you announced the relationship, or it otherwise came out somehow, some fans would be outraged. This way, there's speculation, but no proof that you were dating. And if you could keep it up, you would prolong the inevitable announcement that would have to be made when you decided to reveal the relationship to the public. But recently, with all the pregnancy rumors, you and Jimin were pressured to announce the relationship. He wasn't going to pretend he wasn't dating you, especially after the baby was born. You were almost four months pregnant and you'd only taken a test because of the posts regarding your supposed pregnancy bump that fans had picked up on. When the test turned out positive, you and Jimin had a lot to talk about. You both wanted to keep the baby. You didn't need to talk about that. He'd already expressed the desire to have kids with you. You needed to talk to his company. What would they do about the situation? Make you break up? It was too late. People already thought you were dating, and now they picked up on the fact that you were having a baby together. If you suddenly stopped being spotted together, it would seem odd. The first post had been written about a month ago, but it hadn't been brought to your attention at first. You hardly looked up anything about BTS, Jimin, or yourself online because you'd done it in the past and it only made you go crazy. Jimin had been informed of the post, but he didn't want to worry you. You hadn't known you were pregnant, of course. He hadn't even considered the possibility that you could be. He just thought that some internet trolls made the post to call you fat. So he didn't mention it to you. But as your stomach grew bigger, bit by bit, the posts increased. About two weeks ago, there was a post that convinced even you, so you decided to take a test and you found out the truth. You didn't go outside for a while after reading it. It made it seem like you were definitely pregnant, and the comments were horrible. How could you go outside when people were saying terrible things about you? People were bashing you for being pregnant, especially because your relationship was still not even official, at least not to the public. Some people called you ignorant, claiming you thought you were better than the fans because you "pranced around" in public with Jimin, acting like the relationship was nothing. They asked how you could dare do that and not even tell them you were dating. You were shamed for getting pregnant and for “corrupting” Jimin. But the company had a solution. And some of the negative comments stopped, although for one of the worst reasons you could think of. Their idea to fix this mess was to announce to the fans that you were Jimin's sister. It could definitely explain why you were always seen with him. And you'd never gotten caught kissing or looking "romantic" together. Technically, people could have said you were platonic friends or relatives. It was possible. But it certainly was not what people expected. They were so certain you were dating. And they were right. Some comments were still mean, and some people didn't actually believe the announcement. People would compare your photos to Jimin's, examining your facial features and skin tones to see if you looked like you were related. A lot of the comments, however, were quite nice. People stuck up for you, calling you an innocent victim because of the fact that your "brother" had such a public life and saying you had no right to be attacked. Yes, you were pregnant at quite a young age, but they defended you because you were "oppa's sister," who didn't deserve to be treated badly. And while you did call him oppa, you certainly didn't mean it in that way.
