There are times when I feel like the most natural thing to do is to get mad and get even with a person who did me wrong, just because it’s what every body else would do, because it’s the normal course of things. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Then I remember the road less traveled by. And I remember how I decided a long time ago to live my life walking down this path, this uncharted and brambled lane covered with thorns and sharp rocks.

Going this way means living in deviation. Painful deviation.
