i like to imagine they have accents. like how we do on Earth. like depending on where the Monster comes from, they sound a little different than other Monsters from another Island.

bleatnik reminds me HEAVILY of one of those rides in the mall... like those horses or cars you'd put a coin in and ride on for a bit as a kid? i think bleatnik could be one of these tied to where gjon grew up, perhaps they miss that time

cranchee is just shiyuki's dog's favorite toy HAHAHA...

sporerow is yaen's copy of the game spore. no, i'm kidding, it could be her childhood pet bird or something? 🤔

pinghound is antoine's pet dog and they are much quieter than strombonedog lmao. these two dogs either love or hate each other, i haven't decided yet

wheezel is probably an old craft/toy/card deck hyeonjun made themselves as a kid and never threw away (they likely struggle to throw objects out, sentimental value or not)

knurv is a telescope businge has had since childhood to look up at the stars :D initially i was considering glasses because of eye nerves, but that led me to the telescope idea which i preferred

* The vibe amongst the Minor paironormals is that of a dysfunctional family. There’s struggling, conflict, and the occasional drama, but everyone deeply cares about each other.

* Shhimmer, despite being a bit more on the introverted side than his Major form, is the handymon of the group. He has a lot of skills, but his favorite is cooking (I imagine he wears one of those big goofy chef hats when he cooks)

* Owlesque is the happiest of the Minor Paironormals. He likes to try his best to help out his sadder friends and has become quite the skilled therapist. However, he likes to take breaks from the negativity of the carnival and often visits his old friends back on Mirror Faerie Island with the help of Shhimmer’s portals.

* Arcorina is on the shyer side, going through periods of happiness and periods of depression. However, she’s very close to Owlesque, who is always there for her no matter what. (I imagine them as a QPR)

* Dakktyl, despite his chronic pain and memory problems, still maintains his sassy and flamboyant energy. It’s impossible not to like him, and everyone plays their part in helping him out with both physical pain and helping his memory issues.

* Jerm is considered the wisest of the minor Paironormals. If anyone needs any advice or opinions, Jerm is often the first monster they’ll go to. Similar to Dakktyl, everyone plays their part in helping Jerm have a more comfortable existence.

* Hatsy, Batsy, and Bootsy have a similar vibe to the trick or treaters from The Nightmare Before Christmas. They’re mischievous troublemakers who are still good kids at heart. The three of them argue often, but they see each other as siblings and could never live apart.

* Each of the Scallyrags kids have their own mentor relationship with some of the adult Paironormals. Hatsy, who is a bit on the shyer side, looks up to Owlesque, who encourages him to open up and be himself to the fullest. Batsy, who is very calm and chill, enjoys listening to the wisdom of Jerm. And Bootsy, who has an energetic and flamboyant energy, greatly admires Dakktyl.

* Galymph is very chill and chronically lazy, contrasting his energetic Major form. He’s very nice and easy to get along with. Out of everyone in the carnival, his closest friend is gUrDy. Also, despite primarily using his lower body when singing, in his every day life, he uses both halves of his body interchangeably.

* gUrDy is a very interesting member. She tends to act mean and bully-like to her fellow Paironormals, with the exception of Galymph, who she gets along with. However, this behavior is all an act to help her deal with her crushing guilt and self-hatred about trapping the bugs to help her see. Her deep fear of blindness and dying alone, however, makes it impossible for her to willingly free them. She wants to become a better monster but she doesn’t know how.

* Illoost is another interesting member of the carnival. He heavily struggles mentally, his behavior extremely volatile and unpredictable. He deals with an extreme fear of abandonment, displays attention-seeking behaviors, along with extreme perfectionism. He switches from periods of intense people-pleasing to volatile anger and self-hatred. Everyone wants to help him but they aren’t sure how.

IM SO HAPPY I GOT TO FINISH THIS oh Lord this would have been done HOURS ago if only I didn't get cramps 💔💔💔💔 but I'm glad I managed to finish this anyway!!!!!!

Vhenshun, Ah, the centaur! He's a pretty interesting case compared to the other quads; always having this deep desire to run free, somewhere that's not just the confines of the Workshop.

Designed the way he is for precision, might, speed, and strength, and all of those all at once to create the dextrous and innovative; Vhenshun! Guess you can say his creation was a breakthrough...an "in-vhenshun", as we say it? Haha, sorry.

As for his character, Vhenshun's surprisingly pretty social when he's not too busy being a workaholic in his own given time. Always engaging as much as he can when he gets to talk, and curious as can be about many things. It's such a stark difference compared to his determination to achieve "freedom", however. As there were times he had definitely prioritized his many desires over others, but there were many times he's felt guilty about it; feeling the need to show everyone the same freedom he craves once he eventually creates an exit, but also not actually wanting to cause real harm when he really just wants everyone to be free together with him.

Other than all of that, Vhenshun's of course, the most intelligent one of the other quads; knowing best about his craft and also really just a very interesting person to reach out to. He's probably the kind of guy you'd be very casual friends with, but a pretty negative trait about him is that he's got too much dedication to his craft and his own desires, he's also way too headstrong of a guy when it comes to his beliefs, both in the positive and negative influence of that exact characteristic of his. Sometimes that stubbornness can prove itself beneficial, other times it only looks like obsession.

Of course, that is only when Vhenshun is confined to the Workshop, Mech Islet is actually where his best traits really shine the most. in contrast to Rhysmuth masking his best traits when he's on Crystal Islet.

Vhenshun shows himself to be much more comfortable and also even kinder to those who share the same islet as he does, proving himself content with what he believes he's achieved even when it's costed quite a lot to get to where he is. Without the stress of wondering constantly what's outside his world now that he really is out there; Vhenshun does what he can to connect with everyone on the Islet as much as possible, forming even stronger connections with the doubles/singles than he does with some of the triples/quads. They dub him as simply “The Humble Inventor”, somewhat false, but is symbolic for his progression ever since he finally came to Mech Islet.

... Okay, unrelated to all of the lore dumping, but Vhenshun is, since he's a centaur in this au, fast. Like, stupidly fast, AND strong. He's chased down a couple of the workshop ethereals before out of anger, and Goodness Zarroë— you do not wanna know how stupidly quick he is for such a large guy. Not only are his legs extremely durable AND strong as they are made of metal, but the rest of his body is quite literally made to have MORE energy stored; initially for the purpose of workshop duties, but, well, that's not entirely what comes to mind when The Horse🐎™ is busy chasing down someone for inconveniencing him just a little much.

Great way to summarize Vhenshun's personality? Well... There isn't much of a great way to! He's sorta like a mad scientist in a way when it comes to his craft, but his motives are all out of good intentions, he's just somewhat misguided by his own desires. OR WE CAN ALSO JUST SAY! Vhenshun's a Centaur Inventaur™!!
