In the official storyline:- Lore from Crystal Islet explains that temporal manipulation in the Monster World is achieved through Diamonds—crystalline structures possessing unique temporal properties.- The time/space rift present during the ancient era (Dawn of Fire) operates using Prisments (ancient magical crystals).- Bio descriptions reveal that many Crystal-element monsters have biology or traits linked to aspects of time (such as preserving memories across generations or altering the perception of time's flow).
So I think that Syncopite is the Celestial that is an example of it: Syncopite’s crystalline core absorbs and reflects cosmic energy frequencies to keep the tempo and rhythm of time (keeping time) for the entire Monster World.- I also think that Rhysmuth is represents the transmutation of matter across different timelines. Jeeode is Emits resonant audio frequencies that foster mental clarity and bridge gaps across temporal intervals.
What are your thoughts on this?
* This makes my interpretation of Rhysmuth more funnier and explains why I thought more abt him changing form in certain environments post Islet release. All this history and he decides to be annoying as fuck. Result : body manipulation that turns you into flesh. Fucker

I don’t like how most people tend to portray Rhysmuth as like egocentric, for lack of a better word. Maybe it was because I read a fanfic by Amethyst_Geode I think, and Rhysmuth was so parental and sweet. I think I cried. Anyway, I’ve thought about Rhysmuth like that since and it really opened my eyes to see that most people portrayed them really similarly. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing but it’s just real interesting. Anonymous 🎉
Has it ever occurred to thy that your Rhysmuth Gijinka has a crystal for a heart and does not know what a normal heartbeat is like. Unless he’s been close enough to another monster that he could feel and/or hear their heartbeat (which he probably has) he’s probably never heard a human heartbeat. Just saying, this is giving many ideas for Rhys’ reaction to a human heartbeat. :]

I wanna hear more about your Rhysmuth gjinkas personality because he seems really cool,,,,
“Let's get down to Rhysmuth!”💎
I actually haven't written much about my gijinkas personalities, so this might actually be a little basic... Sorry for bad English if any!!! :(
Rhysmuth, I'd say, is a very... Cha-rhys-matic Quad. Contrasting from the calm of the single crystal element by a whole lot; Rhysmuth is loud, energetic, confident... probably the most extroverted quad of all the others. He's known very well around the workshop for being a generally pretty good influence towards the rest of the others, or simply just the "hype man" of the quads as a team. Though sometimes he's also quite... Boastful. His ego inflates quite a lot at times; he constantly wishes to be more into the spotlight and using that energy to occupy as much of it as possible even when he's singing. Playing as much of a role as possible whenever he's included, but also not actually wanting to disrupt anything if he shouldn't be there. He's just got a little bit too high of self-confidence and that's okay🤍 Rhysmuth is also just generally a very.. loud and proud guy. Very expressive. Maybe a little too much sometimes. But that's also part of his charm.
Although that's only when Rhysmuth's fully known, since... Well, everyone in the workshop knows who he is. There is a persona he plays when the opportunity calls for it; mainly when he's either in the Mini-mine, or when he first arrived on Crystal Islet.
Rhysmuth; Or, well, dubbed as the Islets "Crystalline Guardian"(hence the knightly appearance + the flowing bismuth hair), becomes a lot more sly and cunning when it comes to those who don't expect or those who aren't familiar to his presence; using his confidence to play less into the part of the Charismatic Crystal Quad, but more into the part of someone who's just a little mysterious in some sorta way after all his time being known like the back of one's hand. The triples, of course, always call his bluff, but they prefer to enjoy the performance. After all; all triples and quads have their way of getting along and making good impressions with the singles and doubles when the time comes they meet on the islets...
I guess a great way to summarize Rhysmuth's personality is that he'd probably be a really good DM for a DnD session.
Some interesting opinions from other quads...
Hey quads!! What's your opinion on Rhysmuth? 🎤
Vhenshun: "Don't even get me started, he's so TERRIBLY INFURIATING sometimes. But he's a lifesaver when I need something from the Mini-mines so that's that? I dunno, we're on good terms though. I guess... 🫤"
Whaill: "He's honestly someone you can really count on when things get a little conflicting, but he also can sometimes be the source of it. He's still a great friend, though."
Oogiddy: "I Like Thee Way He Talksss... Comesss in handy too!! Funny guy...😁"
Pentumbra: "...¯\_(ツ)_/¯" ("We are Very unsure what to think about Rhysmuth! We're not all that alike at all!")
A few more fun stuff about him!
- Rhysmuth likes to jumpscare people who waltz into the Mini-mine, but also will definitely lead them out if they need to find their way. “The Mine's off limits, bud.”
- Rhysmuth conceals the "mouth" unless he's in the workshop. It isn't even a real mouth anyways, just there to express himself as much as possible.
- Rhysmuth can float higher the larger his "wings" are; idly, he can only float pretty low, but in its largest, he can float as high as his stamina promises.
- Rhysmuth's bismuth hair can actually be in any shape and color as long as it's colorful and looks like Bismuth, I just draw it in one way to keep things consistent. He sometimes modifies his hair whenever he wants to, but usually it's in the same shape since he's proud of himself like that.
- He might have accidentally burnt Vhenshun once when the light hit him at the right time. Like burning an ant with a magnifying glass 😭💔 “How 'bout a chip off the old block, eh, Vhenshun?” "YOU ARE INFURIATING!!!"
