Summary: Danny needs to join the school musical for extra credit. Ember needs to rub her success in Skulker's face. Ember's willing to give Danny voice lessons in exchange for joining her on tour as Phantom, but there's an unexpected problem - every time he tries to sing as Phantom, he wails.

“I have convinced the school to let the spring play be a musical.”
Danny has never seen Mr. Lancer sparkle like this. His pupils would be stars if they could. And while it’s weird to see an adult express a fanatic interest in something, Danny’s not going to get in his way. It’s not like Danny’s a thespian. Or wants to be a thespian. The school play is never Danny’s concern.
“As the musical’s director,” again, Mr. Lancer sounds almost inappropriately giddy, “I have decided to do a production of Hadestown. I have also decided that anyone who participates will get extra credit in my class.”
Several students, including Danny, sit up straight.
“The more you impress me with your acting and dedication to the art of Broadway, the greater your extra credit will be.”
In his head, Danny does the math. His English grade is dismal, mainly because he found it boring. He has no interest in the stories and poems they read, which in turn means it takes ages for him to get through the reading, and that leads to it often being the homework he puts aside to do other assignments. English always gets shuffled to the bottom of his school priority list. To replace half of the points he’d lost via missed work last semester, he’d need 200 extra points.
As Mr. Lancer shares his rubric, Danny would either have to be the best chorus boy ever or get a singing part and be decent at it. The latter feels like less work.
Dash: Lancer, question!
Mr. Lancer: Dash wants to learn something: shocked.
Dash: Why didn't we get Fenton's morning announcements for Saint Patrick's Day?
*alarm goes of and green lights start flashing*
Mr. Lancer: You dangerous disgrace.
Dash: What, was that the secret word?
Mr. Lancer: Freaking, yes!
Danny, over the PA: Ding-Dong! Welcome to the Saint Patrick's Day Protocol!
Dash: What is this? Like the Purge?!
Danny: Its like the Purge but violent!
Dash: What does that mean?!
Danny: Things!
Dash: Ah!
Danny: Students of Casper High I hereby dub you leprechauns!
Tucker: Well, at least its better than child soldiers.
Danny: Which are like child soldiers but European!
Tucker: Shoot.
Danny: Somewhere in this building I've hidden a pot of gold-
Valerie: I don't need to hear the rest, I'm in.
Danny: -And you have to stop Dash before he finds it!
Sam: How?
Danny: Murder!
Sam: I am also in.
Paulina: What does this have to do with Saint Patty's day?
Danny: Nothing!
Paulina: Well, I asked.
Star: You think we would murder a friend for money?!
Danny: Of course not, you also get 1 A+!
Star: I am also-also in!
Wes: I am into it more!

Wes: I will kill him so fast your head will spin!
Dash: How is this an easy decision for all of you?!
Kwan: Don't worry Dash! I'm not so easily swayed! I've got your back!
Valerie: No you don't!
Kwan: Sorry man, I tried.
Danny: Let the Off-Brand Trademarkless Purge begin! Get him!
Dash: Ahhh!
Danny: Yep, thats all I wanted to announce!
Vlad: *snooping around school trying to find the pot of gold Danny stole from him*
Danny: Oh and kill Vlad; just cause.
Lancer, absentmindedly: What are you up to today Mr. Fenton?
Danny: Contemplating death, as any good teenager does Mr. Lancer.
Lancer, not listening: Good good.
