The Derailment of SP MT-4 Class 4355, and P-6 Class 2451 at Glendale in 1935.
The men standing in the last photo, from left to right are: Harry Darms, fireman; Arthur Champlin, engineer; and D.A. Woodruff, fireman. All three men were on the locomotive when it crashed into a seven-ton truck on the tracks in Glendale. A dozen people were injured, with no fatalities.
PRR M1 class 4-8-2 Mountain type. This one has the passenger pilot so would usually be seen with long heavy passenger trains. They were however dual service locomotives.
