So I want to make an OC x Canon for Coffee Candy Cookie. Kinda just want to develop my OC and their relationship a bit more. Anything to say about Coffee Candy Cookie?

coffee candy is an interesting one. we only see her after she joins the TBD, despite her canonically having a very illustrious career at the Cookie Herald, a news company in the series. her bio states she was a journalist, and her pet bio states her stories frequently ended up on the front page. she was also hired via the TBD scouting her personally, as they never, until recently, had standard hiring practices. although we don't know what kind of journalist she was, from the way she acts in her story, i wouldn't be surprised if she was often on the field or even doing occasional espionage. a lot of the fandom seems to forget about this, though, typically only portraying her as the jumpy, clumsy new hire at the TBD. while thats also a key component, neglecting that the TBD is her second full-time job, and previously she was a star journalist, would be a disservice to her.

she's also canonically insanely dedicated, chipper, and more capable than she lets on. that last bit is likely a holdover from her journalist days; people tend to lower their guard if you act incompetent, after all. we do know she eventually becomes head of the TRD after baguette cookie retires, so coffee candy has more than enough skill on hand to make her way through the TBD. we don't know how she feels about time travel herself, however, and she's somewhat afraid/uncomfortable around Timekeeper Cookie, though that's more likely tied to the fact timekeeper keeps her status as the director a secret from all but the division heads.

in a relationship, this all probably carries forward. her keen observance and excellent memory means that you'll receive gifts or advice you never knew you needed, or she'll pick up that youre feeling unwell from the slightest hints. reading people is one of the things you have to do well to make it as a journalist, after all, though, since the TRD is much more about data entry and collection than talking to people, that skill is no longer as sharply honed. she'll be really attentive to your moods either way, maybe a little too attentive, to the point of subservience, if you don't enforce clear boundaries or lean on her help too much.

while she's pretty clearly capable of enforcing her own will and boundaries, she's also quite stubborn, as one of the endings for her introduction event involves her disobeying baguette cookie and closing a wayward rift herself (in the other ending, she stands down to let baguette do it), meaning that she's more likely to power through things than make her feelings known. so, in turn, you'll also have to be attentive to her moods and needs, and make sure to help her as much as she helps you. a little bit of thoughtfulness will go a long way with her, and even small gifts or reassurances will make her happy. even if she doesn't seem like she needs help, ask anyways just in case, and let her know you notice and appreciate her.

tinny and artificial. her mouth doesn't always move when she speaks, and her voice comes more from her upper chest than throat, like there's a speaker somewhere in her. i see her as having replaced a lot of her body with mechanical parts as they failed her through the years of time travel, and i also think that time travel has spaghettified her, like what a black hole does, so her proportions are all weird.

still like Croissant Cookie, just... idk warped. Croissant sounds, to me, a lot like the women in this interview (LINK), esp cade russo-young (purple hair), though a bit deeper, maybe a little rough from engine smoke. in my trans headcanon she went through an estrogen puberty because she was on puberty blockers for a few years, and then started HRT as soon as she could to catch up to the other kids. time travel has made Timekeeper's voice get even raspier, and also with a shrill sort of warble to it, kinda like she has two voices, with a much higher pitched one ebbing and flowing into her words.

theres also like a metal grinding and squealing quality, and she tends to talk fast enough her various "voice lines" layer on top of each other and she sounds like someone playing 8 different audio tracks at once. it takes conscious effort for her to speak clearly and coherently, which is why she uses such formal language and long words. their voice also gets choppy and growly when they're pissed off, sounding like audio compression (LINK)(volume down, and watch your headphones).

they make all kinds of mechanical noises too. she 'purrs' with a sound like a fan buzzing (LINK) (volume up, it's quiet) and her 'heartbeat' is a clock ticking. if she's excited or annoyed, there might be sounds of gears clicking together inside her voice, or wires stressing. she'll groan and growl with deep metallic creaking (LINK) (LINK), and so on.

as a partner, probably quite playful and maybe borderline annoying on occasion. we've seen from story events she's not above fucking with her own employees and even putting them in danger, though how much danger is unclear. most likely she'd step in if things escalated too much, but i imagine she's probably a safety hazard no matter your relationship, intentionally or not.

her persistent ennui, combined with her thrill-seeking behaviour, means you'll at least never be bored with her, and she would look out for you even when you're not hanging out. coincidences would align in your favour, little things will suddenly seem to happen by lucky chance, and you always seem to just avoid the worst of whatever danger happened to be nearby. she won't baby you, though, and in fact might have some giggles at your expense if you get yourself into non-life threatening trouble. of course, she'd offer a hand to help you up afterwards, thought it was still really funny to watch you trip.

she'd probably have a lot of fun just prodding you about your own thoughts and feelings about various things, even if they seem innocuous. despite her laissez-faire attitude and irreverence for social convention, she does quite like listening to people talk, especially when they have something interesting to say. she will push your buttons, naturally inquisitive as she is, and might perform experiments or tests to see how you react, but won't ever try to hurt you on purpose.

unfortunately, having dominion over all of time has disconnected her from the consequences of her actions, so if she ever genuinely fucks up, she's more likely to reverse time and unmake the entire incident, than apologize. or, if it's not worth the effort, she's likely to try to change the subject, deflect, or outright not realize what the problem is. you'd have to do a lot of work together to help her be more empathetic towards people, and it's probably easier if you're fairly resilient to bullshit or have a strong, pointed way of enforcing boundaries.

i do think she's a bit touch-starved/touch-averse, not liking to be grabbed, but very grabby herself. expect plenty of hugs from behind, snuggles with her as the big spoon, head pats, sitting on her lap while she works or her sitting behind you while you work, and having her hover behind you to watch what you're doing. she's also not terribly judgemental, having seen too much in her time travels to care about 'embarrassing' hobbies, odd fixations, unconventional fashion, and so on, though if she thinks getting a rise out of you is funny, she might tease you anyways. she is, also, still an engineer at heart, so you can kiss all your tech problems, malfunctioning devices, quirky appliances, and power problems goodbye! she also does small things like fix holes in clothes (usually with time travel, but sometimes by hand), tinker with devices to show you later, and with sometimes even clean things (with time travel) for you. you'll also never be too late or too early for an event ever again, and she's more than willing to keep time on hold to let you sleep in or stay up late as much as you want.

as a mother... eh. i think as croissant, kids were always a 'maybe' thing to begin with, and now as timekeeper cookie, she's more or less outright disinterested, maybe even uncomfortable around children. she's not great with kids in general, usually scaring them with her otherworldly presence, and the kids that aren't afraid tend to be too grabby for her comfort. she can be in a room with a child, but she won't get too close unless she has to.

i headcanon croissant (and thus timekeeper) as trans, so it wouldn't be her carrying the child, at least, but even if she sired a kid with someone, she probably wouldn't be terribly involved in raising the child outside of material support like keeping you fed, housed, safe, and comfortable, with plenty of gifts and toys, but not a lot of physical support. and i think she'd find the idea of becoming pregnant to be intolerable, regardless of her cis/trans status. adoption (or a donor for you, if you have compatible anatomy) would be the only option in that case.

this isn't to say she'd ditch you or leave you hanging. timekeeper cookie is a god and has an entire department at her disposal. although she won't be changing diapers or babysitting, she's the first person to notice if the kid is sick, getting into trouble, having a rough time, or falling behind developmentally. she probably also enlists some of her employees for babysitting duty when it's needed, so the kid will grow up with plenty of aunties and uncles. while not a great mother, she's a pretty great guardian.
