So I watched a full 30-ep TV show in the past 48 hours, it's a Moroccan series that aired last Ramadan ( and my Moroccan friends gave me shit about it 😅 ) but I still think one of the greatest ways to learn your target language is the TV shows or movies, because you will learn more than any grammar book can tell you, you'll learn the figures of speech and the metaphors, you ll learn the daily conversations and what answers goes with what question and what to say at specific moments and situations. Anyway, now I feel like my head is full on Moroccan Darija even more than Sabahiyat 2M, lmao. I also found lots of similarities in the expressions with our Darija which I will have to make a post about once I find the time, I got really inspired for lots of posts to come inshaa'Allah. Oh but the best part is that the central character had the same name as me and also that she was innocent and did not kill her husband, lmao. Now I have more reasons to love the opening/closing credit song 🙈
So yeah, point is, even when I was sick and not able to "human", I kinda wasted my time on something that I love and on improving one of my target languages which technically means I did waste my past 2 days. So, that's a huge improvement compared to my old reckless careless self. And I just wanted to share the tip. Always watch tv shows and movies or even youtube videos in your target language, your brain will store in all those new words, even if you won't be using them immediately, you will be able to remember and recognize them more often. And don't give up on learning languages 🌍💛
