I hope you are doing well today. I'm not quite sure what to say, but I miss my Xiao. Xiao was like a child to me, and was very dear to me. All I want is you to find some sort of peace, if possible, in this life. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to talk, I'll find a way to communicate with you.

I have a few memories. One is of meeting Keqing during Lantern Rite when she was a child, and I was in disguise for the festival. I encouraged her to pursue her dreams, and to keep challenging people when she thinks they're wrong. I believe she realized who I was later on.

Dear Barbatos,

Today marks another year in your undeniably.. eventful life. You have been a thorn in my side since you entered my lands without my say in the matter, and you persisted even though I nearly crushed you in my palm, insisting on a friendship that I, somehow, accepted. A thorn you may be, alas such thorn is still a rose nonetheless.

You are someone I dare call a close friend. I may express my distain for your pranks and games, but you make me smile if I am fully honest. You managed to stir an unmovable rock like myself, and that is a feat indescribable. You stood by my side through thousands of years passing by. Sometimes as a simple breeze reaching my scales from across the country, sometimes as a loud voice persisting for a glass, and sometimes as a hand on my arm, comforting me that not everyone has succumbed. I thank you for being such an important part of my life. A blossom I never wanted to pluck, after so many years.

I truly hope your day is full of joy and comforts. Happy birthday, Barbatos, old friend. May we cheer on this day with a glass of wine. I promised you I had saved one, just for an occasion as this.

Today I spent hours arguing with a person about your existence. He claimed you were an evil being, and my anger quickly made me blind and I had to explain why he was wrong. To this day I cannot stop thinking about you, and how wrongly you were remembered. It was never your fault. You shouldn’t have been recalled like this. You were by my side for centuries, near millennia. I… I miss you. I couldn’t handle you leaving one more time, please come back to me. Parts of me are happy you did not see my tears that time. Today I begun the quest for Ms. Yelan. Very early on I was so distraught by a “non playable character” that I needed to put my game to the side and breathe.
